If I may throw in my 2¢. I ran my 4-tec this weekend at a parking lot race using the Protoform C8 body. I think the rear wing really helped keep the rear down. There was a high speed left at the end...
I'm guessing the OP is saying that it slides out on power. If that's the case then thinner rear diff. The front diff is great with a thick fluid so reduces how loose the car is.
The vxl or ford gt brushed has TSM and the good radio. Don't get the mustang or brushed chassis only, unless you're already planning to take out the radio system for a good one.
Out of the box,...
Clean setup you got there. I like the motor heatsink/fan, need to get one too.
Protoform makes a C8

I cut the sticker and removed some paint behind it. For light buckets I taped holographic cardboard I had laying around. They are tiny leds...

Nice build. I just realized I am starting a little list too since I drive the 4-tec the most during this lockdown.
Yeah racing cvd (4)
Tamiya front camber links
Home Depot droop screws
MST wheels...
Good job on the video, I always appreciate the time and $$ put in to making these.
It's probably not able to take the opposite voltage to slow itself down. Glad u figured it out.
Thanks man I'm thinking of making those but similar to Formula 1 jacks (looks like a furniture dolly if you've seen it)
Nice. MST also makes adjustable offsets from 3 to 11 on some wheels. I'm at 5 front and 9 or 11 rear depends on the body.
Sounds really close together but I could be wrong. Did you use the screw holes that the manual specifies?
Sweet pics and can u show what that metal stand u have under it? I'm storing mine on the spinner stand.
Nice pic man I love the FD2 Civic Type R!
I'd like to work on the Tamiya R34 Skyline Gtr next with front and rear light buckets.
My newest mods are the soft "white stripe" springs for the front. I...
Bake them for 300 degrees for 10 minutes. It's on YouTube also.
Hi everyone, I just got my 4-tec and after about a week of drifting in the living room and outside, the stock dog bones vibrate too much so I picked up a set of Yeah Racing CVDs. I also just...
One LHS open near me, so I picked up new hinge pins, steering bellcranks, rod ends, rear tires, caster blocks, and rear skid.
I couldn't go to the dirt track, but I did drift runs in the parking...
After calling the USPS for a couple of days while they lost my mail, I got the MIP shafts in but it's late now, have to wait till tomorrow.
Still waiting on my Mip drive shafts. Tracking says Saturday ☹️
I'd be down to go back to street spec as a drift car, I already have the 17mm hubs and 8th scale road tires.
