Sorted the battery mount out. Stole the way I sorted out the 4S Stampede.

Next job, motor mount. That was supposed to be done...
That only works for initial setup though, not live telemetry. It depends what you want to use the app for I guess.
Although this is true, you will have to look at getting additional sensor to plug into the receiver. The amount of those you require will depend on the parameters you wish to have on the app. I only...
I'd think about a new Hobbywing ESC if I was in your position, then when the Traxxas replacement turns up, sell it. The stock Traxxas ESCs fetch good money on eBay for some reason, so it would be a...
It's like someone is watching is the forum. Ebay is now flooded with these upgrades all of a sudden.
:D :D :D
Cheers Steve, that backs up my current plan.
I've done the gluing I intend to, so I've not done the pictures yet. Possibly be done tonight.
No idea on the re-branding, but I'd guess not. I think the Hobbywing in question is a 2200 & the stock Maxx is a bit quicker at 2400, at least I think that's what I read somewhere.
Although a...
Cheers for that. I've been over thinking what pinion to get, I'll go with stock to start with.
Last question, have you put any cooling onto the motor?
Yeah, I still need to look at wiring. Things may work better with the ESC rotated 180 degrees. I can't see me stripping the maxx, so I may as well deal with the wiring on a permanent basis.
A few...
Can I ask what spur/pinion you are running? Actually, what wheels/tires as well please?
Thank you.
Lol. I'm not buying more batteries! Stop it. Still trying to fund the build!
The rear motor mount won't fit. Other than that, direct fit.
I'll be sorting my motor mount in the next day or 2. Watch my thread linked above, if you're interested in my fix for losing the rear...
I guess this was a no then? :D :D :D
That's the one I'm about to use. If you're in no rush, have a look at my build thread, but it may well be another few weeks before I run it.
There's pictures of the motor mounted, I literally mocked...
Made up a mounting plate for the ESC yesterday. Found a piece of alloy from my Stampede build that was nearly big enough. There's just 2 small dents in the top where existing holes had to be cut...
I suspect they'll be a standard metric thread. Probably fine I guess, since they're so thin.
I think for the sake of £5, I'll give the ebay junk a go, if they don't work out, I'll have to order...
Some of the eBay bits have come with screws, if not I've just used them from my generic stainless screw kit. There's loads of random kits out there, I stopped buying the specific truck/car kits a...
So randomly to date, I've not run into any problems. The build is coming together. The truck seems pretty simple to assemble, if I've done it right that is. Biggest thing I've got wrong so far is the...
Thanks for the reply.
I'm still building the maxx platform up, so I've not driven it jet, but definitely looks like it will take a beating more than the stampede ever could. The weight difference...
Hi guys
Do the stock springs have paint dots on them to mark their rate?
If so, anyone know the colours please?
Cheers
So I've started to put stuff together. Front & rear assemblies are coming alone, widemaxx kit & CVD are almost fitted to the diffs now. I like the pin kit, seems much better than the stock screw in...
Looks like I should have a lot of bits turning up today. I've purchased the widemaxx kitt & steel shafts new, plus a couple of other bits, then I've a good few bits turning up from Ebay.
I've been...
Lol. The second it was released in the UK, I was on it.
Even had go buy a second hand iPhone to get it working.
No Bluetooth or android back then.
I find the RPM and speed is garbage, but...
Be funny if I can get the stampede body to fit. I can tell the wife it's the same truck.
