Just an FYI, some times charges will indicate fully charged right away when the connection is a little loose. There should be a bit of resistance when plugging in the battery.
I'm missing what you see so I guess the mods got rid of it. Been busy on another project and haven't run the truck lately.
Other project = CNC Router built with 80/20....
I may throw in the older plastic spur gear with the thrust bearing from Kershaw.
I'd suggest trying out the center diff. Improves drivabilty of this truck.

Thanks guys! Glad to see most of the original people on here are still abusing this truck!
Also, good to see Traxxas beefing things up!!! Love the central diff.
Not a big fan of metal on metal...
Thanks!

Not that I noticed, but take a look when you get a chance.

Did you notice a difference between the 6S and 8S rear unit (7727 vs 7727x)? There is a small plastic guard piece that was different, but that's all I saw.
That's right, thanks. I guess we'll add that to the list of replace it when I break it!

He's back...
Hi guys, it's been a while but the Spring is upon us and I'm looking forward to getting my X-Maxx out and start destroying... I mean enjoying it again.

Don't switch your motor wires. This is what happens when there is a missing or bad Temp sensor as Wolf points to in the thread above.

I need to tweak the wheelie bar a bit, if I punch it, the truck still flips on it's lids. It's almost like you need to find the sweet spot when accelerating to take advantage of it.
To tell you...
Just received the 8mm shock shafts... Big enough? ;)

No issue with the steering servo, it's still stock. Love the trenches, 2 sets of 5T rears is correct.

I haven't received them yet unfortunately :(
Last time I spoke with Dan, he mentioned that this should take advantage of the front and rear modules as is. This should be a clean swap with the center module only.
Back in business.

No, they are too narrow unfortunately.

Nice video! My next goal is get some action shots via the Phantom 3.
Thanks KoolDeal - I'll take a look. I'm still waiting on my 8mm shock shafts to arrive from the other side of the globe. I'll have to see how the seal on those are.
Really well so far. At least I haven't broken a shaft yet! [emoji12] Still trying to dial in the correct spring force. These are a bit soft and they are actually meant for the shorter from 5T shocks....
Here is another photo of the stripped diff. See anything wrong?
