Traxxas cells get around 20C on a brand new pack. Before you go gaga about how low that is, keep in mind some of these "90C" packs are only getting 15C. And ain't nobody getting >30C.
The only...
245 is NOT normal, the windings used in the 1200/1600 begin to delaminate at 225. It'll be in meltdown by 275. 300 is beyond any hope of recovery.
The Traxxas motor is no marvel of modern...
That link still works. I just clicked it.
Use a heat gun on low or a hair dryer on high, it will soften the putty and make it easier to install. Same for high viscosity silicone.
Yes, yes it will. Most broken drivetrain parts cause a loss of power :D
The E-maxx 3906 gears still fit fine, not sure about the 3903/5/8 version though.
No you don't, you get what you paid for and then were ripped off the other 80% of your purchase.
And you don't get much punch either, not through wimpy 12 gauge wires. Just because they are...
It's because the stock ESC doesn't have an anti-spark circuit. You could change the TRX connectors to XT connectors with spark stop though.
The story on Facebook is it's because of the issue Traxxas has with the ARRMA NERO and Tower's parent company.ff
I've read the some 300 page legal filing Traxxas made and it looks like they've got...
I see that the J-8 is "super soft". Does it have the donut issues like the J-7 on high power builds?
There are no official wattage ratings of the stock 1275kv motor, but judging from the internals I'd say it will hold about 3kW (not beefy wire gauge). The Leopard motors top out around 5.6kW, Castle...
3/8" 6061 X-Maxx Motor Mount with ESC plate.
1: Yes, TSM shakes the steering a little. If you turn it up over 100% (the 50% point on the knob) it gets very aggressive.
2: You cannot set the throttle trim below neutral. There is no adjusting...
I put mine in learning mode and hand over the controller. As long as it's only one or two and not a crowd. It'll be slow enough not to break any other objects or children.
The parents generally...
The fusible link will get hot long before the ESC does.
The fusible link getting stiff suggests corrosion or overheating. It's really a stopgap measure anyway and probably won't blow before the ESC does.
It's really rough cut from pictures I've seen.
If he's who I think he is it's 2 5000mah 3s Traxxas packs.
This?

That's odd. Dan generally responds to my emails same day.
Also, the local post office in his area is terrible. They never seem to scan packages into the shipping system, you'll only see it when...
The steel gears make it sound just like a nitro. Even with perfect mesh and tacky grease they're pretty noisy. The tacky grease helps though.
For what it's worth the 2085x is a 35kg/cm in a waterproof case. The BB servo is clearly inflated specs, as the highest torque oversize 1/5 servo (Hitec HS-7980TS) is only 36kg/cm. 50kg/cm is...
I'll buy a set just because I already have J-7s.
If it's IMEX rubber it's going to be VERY hard, probably even less forgiving than the Proline rubber. Traction on pavement will probably be eh.
8S on 32/54. Not stock though, 1090kv motor. I guess the similar ratio for 1200kv is 26/54?
It's Traxxas' proprietary design, they would probably rather not have a repeat of their non-ID ends being bootlegged. This way, there's no question if the end is a legitimate TRX connector.
Traxxas LiPos are waterproof for all intents and purposes. They'll outlive any submerging you do to a vehicle, anyways.
If you were to take them out into salt water it would be an issue.
