I wouldn't say the merv is easy to work on. Its actually kind of a pain everything is crammed together. It is tough as nails though.

Any one you get can be converted to the others for 20 bucks. ... i found that the summit rides to high for good street bashing and the tiny amount of clearance you get doesn't amount to much off...
Spray wd40 on everything but the slipper clutch after most the water is dry. All my RCs get submerged on a regular basis dont worry about it at all

Had my merv on 3s since day one. Ive never touched the drive train. Stock diffs hold up to stoppies backflips and everything else. I wouldnt work on them until they break

I ran the stock shafts on 3s for a while. They lasted 3 or 4 battery packs. I dont think you could ever break them without lipo batteries

My stampede has an 18v drill motor on 3s. Youll be fine just spend the money on drive shafts. Im using the proline ones. This setup snapped a hot racing diff lock....
