Thanks, it's always a pleasure to be read one and a half year after my last post...
Thanks Wildman4910. I use Berger Tools Limited E13-1/8-3.06 straight ejector pins (d1=1/8 d2=1/4 k=1/8 L=3.06), $1.36 each, and I cut them to the appropriate length.
RC Raven body posts aren't as...
You need Axial grey posts (AXA1426) and some spacers (AXA1412 & AXA1413)

Sorry I don't know, and my maxx isn't at home...
Which rubber o-ring ? Do you mean dustboots ? (sorry I don't use Traxxas CVDs).
Do you need the output shaft of the middle ?

If so, just cut the threaded part of a Traxxas stub axle.

Titanium skids bend too unfortunately, that's why I sawed them. Once the skids are properly cut, bumpers and bumper mounts can play their role.
Yes, it's the screws which hold the shocks in the towers which will bend first.
I would say FLM or Duratrax or RC Driven. I've tested none of these but they are available and made with 6061...
UE knuckleheads : thinner, lighter (30g vs 50g), stronger (7075-T6 vs 6061-T6) and cheaper ($44.99 vs $48 for a full set) than FLM shock towers.
I bent the FLM towers very quickly. UE one's hold...

Yes... I did it :(( I don't like seeing my trucks not used so I sold one to give it a second life !
It's a Traxxas forum...
HPI make high quality parts, nice find.
With one or two rubber o-rings (HPI 6819) per cup joints it fits well.

+1 Futaba, great 2.4Ghz radios and servos. Perfect fit for Traxxas trucks.
I used the UE one's (85017) which is a tad too short IMO but really sturdy. I had also bought the O'Donnell center dogbone (ODOC1667) which is a tad longer and lighter (and maybe more fragile). I've...
RC Solutions skids seem to be great. Made from spring steel. pdcsq uses/recommends them (#169). Best compromise between nylon and alu.
A single bad landing is enough to bend your skids (even...
Thanks for this warm praise Nepptune  I would be happy to help you when you'll start your build thread !
Here are some more nice builds (in alphabetical order), similar to mine but with...
I hope I could post a new one soon...
Search "popoxx maxx" on Youtube if you've never watched my previous vids.
Indeed ! Black anodized UE UltraLite 7.5 diff cases.

It's the best part to test upgrades :) (not the cheapest for sure...).
I've never tested the LOSI LST diffs because my UE diffs work flawlessly.
They are really expensive but they are top notch...
Why so much fine tuning if you bash your truck like that ?:lol:
This thread is how I like them : nice pics, details, explanations, reviews, part ref, vids...
Great job
Always a pleasure to read those nice comments thanks
Wildman4910 : I bought the long ones as you advised me a few months ago but they don't fit like I want unfortunately (perfect length...
Nowhere ! But don't worry it's really intuitive.
And if you have questions we are here to answer them
Yes :) And don't worry it's an easy mod :p

- Body protection : I cut pieces of lexan from a Parma clear lexan sheet (.030") to protect the body (clips always destroy the body holes during hard landings <_<).
