Maybe you should check out the Traxxas Summit group on Facebook.
I went with the 2200kv motor because it has more torque and speed. The motor can on the 1800kv is much shorter than the 2200kv. The 1800kv and 2650kv motors are for smaller buggy type vehicles while...
That's so dirty I was excited for a minute there. By the way Noir your off the Christmas list big boy!!!
The Savox 1230 has 500oz of torque which is twice the amount of both stock servos. It will easily max out the servo saver spring. An easy way to test is to stand the Summit up on its back wheels and...
I agree with BRICK57 get the Savox 1230 and stiffen up the servo saver spring . I run that on 2 Summits and love it amazing torque.
nope not normal you can either tear them back apart or just get new diffs from ebay.
Say goodbye to your diffs man. I have those and the Demolishers . Nice build by the way!!!!
I have the sensored 2200kv which is a longer motor then the 1800kv. The longer 2200kv has more torque then the 1800.
It goes to the bottom of the front body post between the shocks. It hold the front shift linkage in alignment on 1 side and the wiring for front lights on other side.

That noise would be the bushings at each end of the motor . Most likely it saw some water before it was stored a yr ago . Some light lube should fix it right up but if not the motors are like 30...
I say seal them and hope no water finds its way in. I use a small piece of black electrical tape over the 2 vent holes. If you dont like them after a few runs just remove the tape no harm done but...
Any updates?
So what kind of time frame did you have in mind?
Larger ring and pinion is absolutely in the works.

I was hoping to hear you had plans for a larger ring and pinion but I know that would be lots of work. I'm sure you don't want to give away too much info just yet. Could you tell us just what parts...

That's pretty cool man I never found a copy of the mag. The wife bought the digital issue but its just not the same.
Just a thought but maybe you could try mixing the red and blue. Make sure you clean off any grease or oil before applying and let it set 24 hrs before lubing and installing.
Wow i was about to guess it was the left steering servo!!!!!!!!
Are you using the right pins? The correct pins should have a groove in the center for the grub screws to seat into. Have you tried using 2 grub screws .
Are you having trouble getting the shock eye into the mount #tra5317?
