These cars do get the motor quite hot, so would suggest letting car cool down after 10 mins running.

Traxxas HD are better than rpm tbh and smooth finish so can be cleaned easy

Usually its the case melted where the input shaft from slipper comes in on slipper side.
Bearing fails and causes case to melt.

The Traxxas batteries are good quality and the 6700s make the xmaxx run the best in my experience.
An Xmaxx on 5000s is a real let down

You will loose steering with a saver fitted as even the strongest will deflect whenthe axle moves over rough ground.
If your that worried use the stock plastic servo horn as it will fail first.

Really i would suggest the Traxxas batts whilst model is under warranty etc.
Overlander batts are also very good.

The springs will sag a touch after first run you just need to adjust the preload collars back down on the shock body to raise the ride height

That usually only happens when chassis has flexed a lot after a heavy landing and bent the prop shaft

For racing fit 8379 spool to front.
Will give much more on power grip and take a little steering away but you wont notice it.
Run around 2k oil in rear diff for a nice balanced chassis.

Well worth getting 7759 motor mount washers too.
These stop the mount screws being pulled through chassis and locate the stock mount better.

Hi off road run a ribbed front tire on loose surfaces as will make model easier to drive.
TRX 6773 same as rustler 4x4 work well on rear of 2wd and give great grip

Hi the temp sender with the Traxxas radio causes the car to go into 50% power if it thinks its too hot.
With another brand of radio this function will not work.
