That is a good in depth explanation and makes mine look like a middle school level answer. [emoji23]
Good info there though.

It's like the normal voltage that a circuit or series of circuits is designed to run on.

If you have GTR shocks my vote is for the Losi variable damping kit. Start with 40 pt 45 weight oil and like Squeegie said. Lots of testing and see what you prefer.

+1 For MIP

I'll second that. Good tires for how cheap they are.
Never owned a pair myself, but a buddy of mine got em and seemed to like them well enough for the price.

Sorry to hear about your Pug, but congrats on the puppy! She's adorable.
Labs are great dogs. Owned one for close to 13 years. Wish you the best with her!

Hot Racing also makes a good mount.
As for slipper upgrades, I run a Robinson Racing Gen 3 slipper setup and love it. It's a little pricey but never had an issue and never stripped a gear running...
They shouldn't melt. I own a few of them and never had an issue.

What batteries and tires are you running?
It might just be the combo of the smaller motor combined with grass and possibly the extra weight from the aluminum.

Does sounds like an interesting idea. Looking forward to seeing the outcomes.

Welcome!
For upgrades, I would just upgrade parts as you break them.

I'd look at the old style badlands (not the MX28's). They're a little skinnier than the trenchers.

I would go for the Badlands. But if you can, I would suggest going for two different tires. That way your off road wouldn't get worn while being used on road.

If Traxxas did get into the racing scene, they would have a lot of competition. But I suppose they had a lot of competition in the crawler scene and they pretty much crushed it with the TRX-4.

Shoe goo it to the side of the chassis. I tried the tape and it just fell off. Went for the shoe goo and its held perfectly.

Is there any binding in the drive shafts? (Center or axles)

Sounds like you have all the necessities all ready installed.
Maybe time to upgrade to a 4s?

Tight will give you more torque.
As for speed, tight might give you a little more than loose.

Loose, you dont put as much strain on the driveline.
Tight, you get more direct power and less heat.
I wrench mine all the way down but its advised to wrench it down and back it off 1/4 turn....
Itll get the suspension closer, but like Ian said, you're not gonna get it really close without adding a solid axle. Which at that point you're probably better just buying the UDR.

Thanks! That's too bad yours wasn't working for you. I love mine so far, not terrible gas mileage and not bad power output for a V6.

I have the 10's and they look like that.
