I have been reading the post for upgrading to the steel drive shafts and so I understand that the 4x4 slash one will fit the rustler 4x4. thanks

something like these would be...
do a search on ebay or amazon
the motor of 4600 kv Is not the motor to use in the 4x4 rustler, way to much kv, the 120 or 100 amp esc will work fine but look for motors of KV 3800 or less for the rustler 4x4
Hi right back at you.
just have fun
Your Stampede 4x4 wheels on a Rustler will be a bit over kill, you would change the gear ratio and I think the tires will hit the body.
with the bigger tires to me i think it would look like the...
the brushed version dose not come with (with a basic charger you plug into your car and a nimh battery.)
I am running the stock brushed system gearing - 17/54 for 2S with the same 3800 combo, its winter tho for me so not sure how the temps were but its fast on 2 cells , I like tearing it up in the...
I have not used A123 batteries but they allow for faster charging and lower discharging as well if I am correct.
my self I use lipo packs that fit in the battery compartment. I did have at one time...
I think the brushed version will handle the 3000 + kv just fine and I thought about that same Kinexsis as well but found the castle combo on amazon for 115.00
I wouldjust get another Kinexsis 3000kv...
I did the same thing an bought the brushed rustler, ran it 3 times and upgraded to the sc 3800 castle combo. love it, plenty of different combos to look at to
the way most esc are set to is when you use the brakes it will brake and then you release and then go to reverse again to back up. some escs you can program as well
do a search for upgrades but most folks stick with stock as they hold up good and cost less
for a motor upgrade look at hobby wing or castle sidewinder.
I just put the sidewinder sc 3800 in my...
I ran mine 2 times with the brushed system and a 2s, it will do willies but they are lame, the brushed system is more for a person just getting into the rc cars and trucks as it is tamed down for a...
I just put the castle sc side winder 3800 kv in my brushed rustler with a 17 tooth pinion, fast and lots of wheelies. I did get it with the program card to. look on ebay and amazon for combos
just installed this same one in mine, had one in a 4x4 stampede as well, very good set up for you and what you want to do with it, mine has a 17 tooth pinion but I think its to much for it should...
the new way to hold the body on is a pain, body clips would better good to go back to
thanks, I did mean to say the castle is the brushless system, will that make a difference in gearing, I recall having a slash that I turned into a truggy with the same system but can not recall the...
what would be a good pinion with a castle 3800 motor and esc on 2 cells
ok for the life of me I can not find out what number tooth pinion is on the brushed version or the brushless version. can some one point me in the correct direction. or just tell me.
