Get a gens ace hardcase 4s 50c lipo. You just have to solder on a traxxas plug but it fits great. 4s is plenty of power for it, personally I think running 6 is too much.

I sealed mine and didn’t notice any difference other then they don’t get a pound of sand in them anymore. Just stay on the throttle when you turn and you should be good.

The stock servos suck, you can call traxxas and they will send you a new one or save yourself the trouble and keep running that one or buy a new one. Mine did the same thing and after a few minutes...
I used a bead of silicone around the carrier and put a piece of foam in the axle tubes and slid the axle through it. No dirt and no messy clean up.
