Don't feel bad, Taco. I tried to use that very same word, because I was actually trying to talk about the actual place (the place opposite of Heaven), and got beat up pretty bad...I still have...
I'm goofy. Let me try this again. (lol)
I bought mine in Delaware. It's a sales tax free state, so that $180 price was really a $180 a piece.
That I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, because I have the 6s version. I changed my stock setup with a Kershaw motor mount, made my ESC mount; and use a Leopard 1340kv, Castle XLX-2 and...
P.S. Even though I got a little confused with you using 3977X and 3997X, I knew that one P/N (on my little picture) was for the motor plate, and the other was for the gear cover. As I looked up the...
Dah, I got to get my eyes check. (lol) I see the difference between the two numbers now.
I see what your are saying, but that motor mount's part number is still a part of and listed under...
To you, but not to me. Like I said, I'm saying tomato, and you're saying tomotto.
Yes it is. If you want I'll highlight it, and retake the picture to post it.
You got me by the zippies...
I understand what you are saying. What you want to do then (if you don't want to trash your Xmaxx with a big motor and crazy gearing) is just replace it with a better motor with the same KV and...
I bought mine in Delaware. It's a sales tax free state, so that 180 a piece was really 180 a piece.
P.S.S.
The part number 3997x for $4.50 (now their 10 bucks) is the Emaxx Brushless Edition motor mount listed under Transmission Components in my parts book...just throwing it out there.
...
Sorry, this took so long for me to get with you. If you have a stock Spartan, it's best for you to go to a bigger pond, or get a smaller boat for your smaller pond. You don't want to prop up or down...
P.S. While I was looking up and comparing Emaxx to Summit transmission parts, I noticed that you can get the Emaxx single motor mounts from Traxxas again. A while back, someone asked where he could...
.
Now Grizzles, don't go getting yousself all confused. (lol) We're both saying the same thing in my #16 and your #19.
Yep, I'm glad that we agree. If you have the three transmissions...
Wow, the price really went up on those. Back when I got mine, I got two for a 180 bucks a piece. I think they were originally 220 back then. I bet you it's due to the virus, because everything seems...
I did the same thing when I got my new Xmaxx, but I also changed the motor. Like you say, if you do that (and you make a good deal on your new motor and ESC) it's almost even money. I haven't had a...
I don't think having a Grave Digger body for our Xmaxx's should be a Traxxas or Horizon right. It should be a constitutional right, dag-nab-it. Power to the people! :D
Yep, that's what Grizzles and I are basically saying too.
Hi all, I own a mostly stock Traxxas Xmaxx, Emaxx, XO-1, and Spartan & I drive them. I have the occasional part wear out, but all-in-all they are all pretty reliable. Thanks for reading. (lol)
I was including the the different motor mounts, and the additional parts in the Summit transmissions as part of a vehicle's transmission. If a person builds the transmission they want from the ground...
Thanks for your above post. You saved me a lot of writing and some pictures. Basically, that's what I'm seeing too. I still have my Emaxx parts book that came with my Emaxx. I compared all its'...
Yeah, that's weird, Grizzles. I looked up Emaxx transmissions by using "Emaxx Transmissions" as my key words, and got a picture of a transmission. From there, I "copied and pasted" the web page's...
Yep (see above), taping the inside of tires is nothing new. The technique has been around for a long time. If you look up, when the Xmaxx first hit the market, that's how long I've had my Traxxas 6s...
Your last question.
In your original post below,
you asked why you were seeing 35/35 gearing with WFO. I told you guys were using that kind of gearing wit 800kv motors. You also said,...
Because, your spur gear is connected to your motor, and as your motor turns (or rotates) so when it dose, so does your spur gear. Double-G-Wiz gave you a perfect analogy of that with his bicycle...
For my fans I use compressed air to blow out the dirt, and a small amount of silicon spray to lube it. If you do that with your fans they will last a long time.
Yeah, so far I haven't seen a Grave Digger body for a Xmaxx either, but it would be cool, though, if someday someone made one.
