    WD-40 Vapor locks

I just wondered if anyone else had problems with the motor not turning over after WD-40 is put in. I usually put it in the carb and plug hole...just a couple short blasts and then I leave it.

Anytime I do this with even a little it seems that the motor stops when trying to turn over (too much compression). I then have to pull the plug and get it out but that or drain it from the bottom end or pipe.

The books says do it 3-4 times to flush it out.

What am I doing wrong. Using too much...not draining it or should I leave it in?

Angry Me Too, check this thread...

I have the exact same problem, as do others. Check out this thread where we were kvetching about it. Basically, after putting in the oil, I turn the truck upside down and run the starter to flush out all the oil. Or, guaranteed lockup.

Hey thanks...I guess I just need to do more of a rinse than leaving it in there...some will stay no matter what. The book does not say...drain the excess out but I guess they think it will come out cranking it...some does not.

I never had that problem with after run oils.
