Update

Bought a spektrum Dx3 radio, installed it all today, looks well smart with its tiny antenna ( check out the pick ) has tons of features, cant wait to trile it out







Had a go at porting the 3.3 while off over the christmas period, only got a shot of my newly opened intake port, didn't have the camera to hand when doing the sleeve started it up on the bump box & it needed nearly a full turn out on the hsn to make it run properly so cant wait to get the thing on the track, sounded really good when blipping on the box so fingers crossed its gonna be a rocket now



& finnaly a shot with my 4-tec next too my new Hotbodies moore speed cyclone ( another working progress )

you'd be surprised at how well the stock filter works. It already supports 70 MPH out the box so why is it looked down on?

As b davies says, its a fairly good filter, had a play with a sports one from my local hobby shop & didn't notice any improvement, so if it aint broken dont fix it sticks with me, finnaly got the car on the track today - woooow, you guys have got to ditch the stock radio, what an improvment it is to go digital & have a decent steering servo with plenty of torque, My 4-tec runs on a diffrent level & as for the porting the thing, my 4-tec has a nice punch when on the straight now, although cant really tell any diffrence on the bottom end power, really screams now, hopefully it will hold up

How does the spektrum get you fatsre laps? Do they give you more control or what?

RevoRules.....you might want to look up some info on hat filter you have. Word is that they dont go your motor any good. Where did you get the CF chassis and CF shock tower?

jatodood, the spektrum radio is an ace bit of kit, firstly the response time is alot faster & theres no glithes, which is what you want down the track with 60+ racers as all it takes is some one to turn on a radio with the same crystals & you could do big damage hitting the fence at the end of the straight on my local track, the kit comes with a high torque servo which gives the car super holding power round the tight corners plus you can adjust how far the servo moves & how fast to suit your driving style, i see most of you guys fit sway bars, foam tyres, carbon bits but really the best mod in my eyes is the digital radio & with the upgrade you no longer have that stupid long antenna on the tx & rx, the the rx one can be made to 3.8 inches and the tx one is only the same size as a little wi-fi one

Revo rules, i've heard bad things about those filters too, your better of with a race foam one, them things are built for crank case filters on real cars so hardly a sports bit of kit plus look at the size of it, bet it has abit of weight & although it may not seem alot just bare in mind your motor makes just over 1hp so every bit of weight is going to work against it, luvin the carbon bits though mate

I just got done installing my New Spectrum High Tourqe Servo and a Spectrum Racing Servo with a new Spectrum DX2.0 TX and RX and to make it light up the night a set of MAXXlights RC lights.

hey trx4tec3.3 is that a .15 originally? I'm thinking about putting a 2.5 on my old .15, do the difs hold up with all that power, that was an issue when my .15 rustler to a 2.5 :/
