After approximately 4 years of struggling with a Tmaxx that sat in its box for 6 years, I was able to get it running(not so well) so i left it again. Made a new friend thats into it so I am giving it a try. I'm about $400 into my upgrade/rebuilding project and I think I've fallen in love. I think it might be because of the work that I put into it, but I am proud if my "progress".

So far, I've fixed:

• Broken lower A-arm
• Front and rear body post and mounts
• Bent Bumpers

And I've upgraded:

• TRX 3.3 engine w/ pull start
• Waterproof servos all around (steering, shifting, throttle)
• 2.7gh transmitter and receiver(I think thats what its called)
• receiver and battery boxes
• Nitro 4-tec resonator
• Proline Scale Raptor body for Slash

And yes, there will be a lot of rubbing between the body and the tires.

Let me know what you guys think, feel free to ask for more pics or ask questions. I'm new to this and don't know much, but ill answer anything about my rc.

Imex trail hawgs on hpi Rims, Hitec servo, forgot the name, 2002 esque sticker sheet, exhaust nipple as i like to call it, 3.3 engine.

This is my six month labor of love. My son talked me into getting the Tmaxx back out after 5 years of sitting in the closet. Six months later there is not much left that's stock. He also bet me it would never pull wheelies because of the additional weight.... He lost the bet...lol

Here's some pictures of my Tmaxx classic major project.

Took motor out and put on rustler rear shocks on. I need to get some kind of cleaner to clean it.
Parts waiting to be installed.

Still need a million parts.. then once I blow drive shafts I'll be going to 3.3 specs. Never ending

Hey this thread is a few months dead? Ill just bring it back lol.
First up is my 3.3 tmaxx, aka blue Maxx, full rpm, blue body, 3.3 with ez start, and spektrum remote.
Second up is my new build.

Hello! I am back playing with this stuff now that I have kids and they are showing interest, picked up a t-maxx classic for cheap as I had one about 15 years ago and loved it!

Did the forward only kit and added the torque slipper upgrade, also Swapped over to the 3.3 and painted up a skool bus body as the kids love it

Installed a "voltage" metter...

-This is the voltage charged....before the run! 8.3v = 4.15v each cell


-This is the voltage at LVC...after the run! 6.9v = 3.45v each cell

Around 12-15minutes..of constant bashing!

-Well, it's just a voltage reader! Not a RC thing...but you know... we use what is avaiable and if it works...RC company's sometimes a few years later will sell it TO!
