    Question Twin 2.5

I have the old style t-max that came with the .15 motor. Converted to the 2.5. Was wondering what I have to modify to make it twin 2.5. I have seen twin .21 conversion kits, but I already have a spare 2.5. Any help in the right direction would be great. thx

well you would need good cvds, another tank, metal tranny gears, and if i were to do it i would get new pistons and sleeves for both engines, put them in, do break in exactly the same way on the same day. that way they will run alot more the same, making it easier to tune. you will also need to modify the chassis, figure out where/how to mount 2 tanks, and i would definately go with a FOC just to free up some space and weight. you will also need to figure out throttle and break linkage.
You are not knowledgable if you express that you are.

You can run any two engines with the new era kit. They include motor mounts for .21's but If you have two 2.5 motors and mounts you can use the 2.5's no sweat. Thats what I did.

There are also several other people on this board who have done a twin 2.5 and even more who did twin 21's

    Here are pics of mine:

Yup the orange ones are dyed RPM wheels (plastic) with the chrome still on. I have dyed the stock wheels as well as some proline plastic wheels.

Just dump some boiling water in a bucket and go outside, drop some rit dye in to get the color you want and then thow in your parts until they are the color you want.

If you want the shiny "annodized" look then leave the chrome on but if you want the flat look then oven cleaner will strip the chrome.

Its the cheapest & easiest mod you can do. Rit dye is available at most supermarkets near the laundry soap or alson in the craft section. Also craft stores would have it.

Here is a link to the Rit dye color chart for mixing custom colors:
