I've heard good things about the Nova head, but I wanted something taller that would stick up outside of the body. I ended up buying a Golden Horizons head for $22 on ebay, it seems to work well.

I would like a new head that wasn't as tall but cooled just as well. At the last race I saw someone crack an engine mount. So I am leery about mounting the body too low and having the cooling head stick out too far. Are there any great-good cooling heads that aren't as tall?

maybe you should think about getting a body that covers the cooling head like the hummer body or a suburban body.

Well of all the options out there for bodies, the best looking one for the T-Maxx in my opinion is the stock body. It's durable to. The Pro-Line GMC Sierra and Crowd Pleaser for the Maxx are also cool, but not very durable at least in my experience.

Golden Horizons head is awsome. keeps my temps at the perfect spot. best thing about the GH head is you can replace the anodized top if you scratch it. and you can replace the glow plug button if you striped it!

Yep the replacement anodized rings and glow plug buttons are available at www.ghhobby.com . Send them an e mail or drop them a phone call. 2tuffmaxx you (being on the westcoast) may have some luck going through the Vancouver BC distributor........I know they helped me out and were very friendly.

Had both a new anodized ring and a GP button within days.

I use the Gh cooling head on my 2.5 I'm very pleased with it.
It dropped my temps by about 20-30 degrees. I didnt think it would make that much diffrence but, it did. My average temps now are about 240. slightly rich
