As you know I am long overdue for producing decent results in my quest for the speed record. I went out Christmas day to test my Medusa 4800kV on 4S-1P. Weather conditions were pretty bad on this day of testing, so I couldn't open it up like I wanted to because of the slippery wet conditions. But from the results it seems like i will be able to get much more speed out of this setup, only time will tell as conditions get dryer.

Highlight of the video is hitting 66MPH with about 60% throttle... I did atleast 25 speed runs, most of them back to back to back, and temperatures never reached 120 degrees on the motor. Most speed runs were in the mid 50's range.

Temps were okay… 3 - 70+ runs and I’d be in the 130’s

Testing the Medusa 4800kV motor on 5s PolyRC... All I can say is

WOW

...

This motor is a power house, and the temps are in the low 1-Teens after 3 to 4 high speed passes / no breakes in between...

crazy beans...

Here's me and my Brother in law racing last weekend. Pretty darn close between the two. Mine is the blue one with the xcelorin esc and 4800kv motor. His is the green one and is running a stock vxl system. Both were running 9 cell packs he made. Both are 4500 mah, his had the red tenergy cells and mine had the yellow tenergy propel cells. I think I'm getting mine more dialed in as it seems to be a little easier to control. Launching still takes some feathering, but that's the fun of it....Hope you all enjoy it:

This is the first time I have posted vids, so be nice. My rig is mostly stock. Stock drivetrain, 25/86 gears. Too tall for the track, will go 21/83 next time. This was the first time I had seen this configuration of the track. This place is notoriously slick and tricky to drive. I run a pretty loose slipper here.
There are 6 vids in all, from different parts of the track. Never mind the sasquatch in the brown hoodie. First time running the ***** at the track, I love it. Even geared taller than necessary, here's the temps after a full pack.
