It's definately sounds like an electronic issue to me.

    1. Check your wires on your truck for any cuts or splits.
    2. Fresh batteries?
    3. Can you try a different EZ start?
    4. Yellow wire from wiring harness, is it attached to the engine mount?
    5. Antenna have any cuts in it, or touching any metal surfaces of the truck?

    Hope this helps.

Your carb is not aligned properly to the linkage I think. I bet it's getting caught on the spur.

    1. remove the linkage from the servo horn.
    2. move the linkage, feel and watch the movement of the carb arm. It should be smooth and not catching on anything.
    3. If it is catching or not very smooth, loosen the carb nut and twist the carb until you have reached the desired smoothness in the linkage.
    4. turn your rcr and tanrmitter on.
    5. put your throttle trim to the middle on your transmitter.
    6. replace the servo horn so that no tension is on the carb throttle.

Looking closer it looks like you have some oily residue on your truck? Is it WD-40? If not clean the truck and find oout where it is comeing from. Could be a leak causing lean conditions.
    Hope this helps.
P.S. You might want to resize those pics, or make them into links.

Servo horn = it is connected directly on the servo looks like a T, held in pace with 1 screw in the middle..
Linkage = metal, rods, springs, that go from the carb arm to the servo horn.
Spur = Big black gear on tranny

Now try what I posted and see what you have. If you are having troubles you might want the LHS to have a look with you.

Added note: Get a copy of the owners manual. If not download a copy from the support site so you can understand what I am saying a little better.
