    T-maxx converted from .15 to 2.5

    Hi Guys,
I just finished a friend convert his older .15 T-maxx to the 2.5. I started the first tank of fuel to break it in today and I noticed something I was not sure about. Is it normal for the clutch bell and slipper clutch to be spinning together at idle. When I give it gas the truck does respond well. There is a little jolt from the truck as the slipper clutch engages. Should I tighten the crew on the slipper a bit??
    Thanks
    John

mine used to do that,"might" mean the mesh is a little loose though,I only say that because mine dosn't do that now that I mesh mine a little tight,as for the jerking, its normal, thats just the clutches engaging,I got rid of that with a forward only convertion..

The cb and spur gear spinning at idle is normal. Since your truck has reverse there are clutches inside the trans which will not engage until you throttle up. When they engage you get the little jolt you are seeing.
