I am exactly 15years, 1 month, 17days(as for tomorrow) old. I've been in r/c hobbies since i was 4. So i guess that makes 11 years. I got my first electric car at age 4 for christmas. It is a very old (now), Kyosho Outrage, that my dad ordered out of the Towerhobbies catalog magazine. Was running great till the engine locked up and the wire to the speed control broke.

I know this is kinda off subject, but does towerhobbies still make/send those catalogs magazines? (they're like 300pgs long)

I get a new one every year from them but there's no jato hop ups in the 2006 one so thats kind of a bummer. You can still sign up for the free speed mart flyers on the main page. I'm 29 but my wife will tell ya I'm 12 so I've been into R/C's for ether 3 or 20 years depending on who you ask.

Lets see, how old am I? (damg sinility). Oh ya, 30 going on 60. I got my first "real" RC car when I was 8. It was a Hornet, and I actually still have it. I have really gotten back into it over the last 2 years. Yup, thats when I went nitro. Now I race normally twice a week at our local track. The kids love it and it is a good family activity.

I was going to calculate how many seconds I am old, but decided that it would take too long lol.

I'm 18 and like 8ish months. I've been in the hobby since... Well as long as I remember, but I got my first "real" RC in May of 2000.

I just remembered something that I wish I hadn't. When I first started racing we had a different way of counting laps. Now we use those fancy little transponders. Well back then we used different collored little fuzzy balls velcored to the tops of our cars, and they were counted by hand. I need a nap, I feel really old now lol.

I'm 15, got my first hobby-class RC (T-Maxx 2.5, no room for beginner vehicles!) December of 2004. Saved up for more than half a year and sold my old water-bed to get it!

Back when I raced six years ago we didn't even have transponders. We put numbers on the vehicles and some guy sat in a lawn chair clicking off the laps.

I'm 46, and been into rc trucks since Dec. '04. I had tethered Cox airplanes when I was a kid. Also had a Cox dune buggy. You cranked it up put it in gear and walked REAL slowly behind it.

I will be 32 in November but my wife says I act 14 and dress like I am 60 Whats wrong with flannel shirts in the winter?!

I got my first R/C when I was about 14 or so, a Tyco Turbo Hopper then took a break from R/C till I was 24 when I got a Tamiya HMMWV (Humvee) and Stadium Blitzer in 1996. I then got into R/C airplanes when I returned from Kuwait in 2000. I got my first nitro truck, my T-Maxx when I got over here last September. It has been a fun year getting to learn about and racing my Maxx. I hope I can find some bashers near me when I get back to the States in a few weeks. It will be weird to drive on grass! It will be nice to go racing and not worry about sandstorms (you are not hardcore till you go racing/bashing in a sandstorm!)

I'm 33 and just got into nitro in April. T-maxx 3.3 is my first. So with the average starting age of all ya'll, that should really make me about 12, right???
