I have like a gallon of fuel lying in my garage and it has been there for like a year. Can i use it for break in and use, even though it has been sitting there for a while.
Thanks

If it's been sitting with the cap tight and off the concrete, the fuel should still be good for regular use.
I think fuel can expire, you will want to shortyen your signature to three lines, or the moderators will give you warning points like they did when my signature was this :3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937 51058209749445923078164062862089986280348253421170 67982148086513282306647093844609550582231725359408 128481 117450284102701

I am running 17 year old 15% Nitro Rex MAd Heli fuel in my 3.3 now and it runs great.
should i shake it up a bit or something?

no, that will cause it to evaporate, my dirtbike gas can has had so much vapor it looked like it was going to explode, maybe a tiny bit, but it can evaporate some parts of the fuel and the ingredients in it will not be right, sort of like drying cake mix

Burn it! ............

Keep looking up... <*{{{><
That's actually not a bad idea. Over time I've heard the contents of the fuel will seperate. Shaking up the fuel will remix the fuel contents, and provide a more even fuel flow.Originally Posted by emaxxman1
Actually, shaking the fuel will not really make the fuel evaporate anymore than it will if it is just sitting. It won't create more pressure inside the fuel jug either. If the cap is on and the bottle is sealed, the fuel will not evaporate when shaken.Originally Posted by I know pi!
If you are referring to the droplets that will condense on the insides of the fuel jug, that is actually from the air moisture condensing when the bottle is cooled, not the fuel evaporating.

At over $21.00 a gallon Burn it ... I've ran fuel that old without any problems also ... So long as it's had the cap on tight it will be fine.

it should be good as long as the cap was tight and it was out of direct sunlight.
I have just the other problem. Always running out of fuel!
