650? Dang. I'm not too sure on this one now. I wouldn't push it.

The stock esc: probably not, but if the pede can handle a Mamba 5700 on 3s lipo, Im sure it can handle that provided that it will fit the tranny case.

it's a 550 size, it was in my Ricky 1/4th bike, but my 10T esc did not handle it on the bike (3.5 kgs!!)

According to that ebay link, that lrp motor is rated at 172 watts of power. Now, in comparison, the Team Orion Formula SV2 Pro BB motors that many of us run are very similar in power. The 17X2 is rated at 169 watts and the 15X2 is rated 178 watts. Going by these numbers I think one would be just as well off to buy the 540 size Orion. The XL-5 can handle down to a 15 turn 540 size motor. Just my opinion.

Yeah, I would reccomend the sv2 pro bb over any other brushed motor... You could get the 15,17, or 19 turn (thats just whats most popular)

The ESC doesn't care about what the motor's size is... It just cares if it's with in the limits turn wise.
