i know that the people that made this car and moter combo would have considered the air intake so would this make something worse.they sell alot of filters that get more air so why do they make one so closed off.i was woundering if there was a reason .should well enough be left alone?

The more distance between the Air filter opening and the carb means a greater distance for dirt to travel through the filter before it gets to the carb.
