    Exclamation video camera on car???

does anyone know about putting a video camera on or inside a rc car? what kind of camera do u use? does it have to be a lightweight camera? i have seen some people put them on cars during races, so there has to be some light cameras to do that for a reasonable price.

This is the camera I mounted on my Jato. It actually worked pretty good with 3M two-sided tape.

And here's how it came out:

You guys are crazy... That's a bit too expensive to mount on an all terrain RC vehicle... What about those little spy cameras?

see, what i think you should do, is this. Take a small like "spy" camera. Or a pinhole camera. They are tiny!. And easy. Some that are a size of a dime go for about 60 bucks
Double side tape it to the front of the car. Have the electronics all wired up in the inside. YOu're all good to go!

My friend got one to spy on his girl friend. Middle of the night he drilled a hold abover her shower, put it in. She found it and broke up with him. LOL I have it now, it works great for on-car stuff
good from far, but far from good

Some guy eh... And apparently the girl didn't like it. Lol.

But yeah, a spy cam is what i'm thinking.

Go to this company, it is the best of the "spy cameras", I happen to be in the field and have tried them all. This is the best in its class, and the smallest. It can be a little tricky to record though.

I have hid these in many places....

Yah,that would be perfect if you have a laptop, than you can just record it while it's playing.

But this thing looks like it costs a leg and an arm... I'd probably fabricate a small box on the top of a Truck body's bed or something to mount it on and protect it.. Maybe buy a suburban body and paint the name, "The Spy" or "RC TV" and paint everything flat black lol.

As for you hiding it in many places lol... you put a lot of dots at the end of that sentence haha, I sense some naughty stuff >_>

well if that's the case the one BMC posted (second post in thread) is your best bet, you don't have to have the screen open. and for $100 that's a steal, also, it's smaller than most camcorders so it's your best bet!

The nice thing about this on is that the screen helps you get the view set up the way you want it and the you close it and go. As far as memory goes, you're only limited by the size of the card that you put in there. The down side was if I had it on the hood, the car wouldn't wheelie and if I mounted it on the roof, it was tough to get the ez-start in and it was also exposed to damage if I had flipped over. As far as price, I won it as a door prize so it didn't cost me anything....

Yup. It's a real video. It also records sound (like a tape recorder), takes pictures and plays MP3's.

    Here's a video without music:

Color video with audio is what your looking for.
Don't forget the you need to make a spring system for mounting the cam into.
Otherwise the video will be very jerky from bumps the car will encounter.

If you aren't sure what I mean... microphone shock mounts are very similar in design. Just google that term and do some research.
