    TMAXX Carnage

Since I promised pics and the thread got closed over something quite silly, I am putting up this thread.

I want it known that I had this thing dialed in. There are mods done to this TMAXX that I haven't even mentioned on any forums. And I'm not tellin anyone either so don't PM me thinkin your going to find out some of my tricks. It's not just hop ups. A lot of engineering thoughts and driving thoughts went into this. Too bad I didn't think to put the body on!!

Yeah, and I have lots of hop ups, they will be going on my new chassis when I can get it together. It's not over. Just a chassis and a motor. The shocks, bulks, driveline, a-arms, hinge pins, electronics, wheels and tires all OK.

Here's the motor, and the header, and what's left of a Traxxas 6061 T6 Cnc'd motor mount. It has 7 gallons on it, is it worth replacing the cooling head? I don't. Theres maybe 2 gallons left on that thing.

Have a good look at the chassis braces.

Now see the chassis from this view, notice the nice U shape?

    Before the big crash.

    The 3.3 upgrade, driveline included.

And when it was a 2.5 construction lot basher.

Is that a new rpm bumper I spy in pic#3? It must be because I know yours was missing the center piece for the longest time. Did you buy it or did rpm send you a new one?

    RPM replaced it.

Man you have a good eye. Those mailbox posts are wicked but nothing like a Chevy s10 though...
I'm tellin ya the sound sent chills up my spine. I didn't want to look.

It will be back and better than ever. Cause I always upgrade what I break. Or I upgrade what's causing the break.

Humm, what kind of chasssis do you think I will get.

I forsee a dace chassis in your future. Rc carnage sounds are unforgettable. I can still hear perfectly my poor little pede getting beat to shreds by the spinning blades under my neighbors ride on lawn mower. What a sound that was.

OUCH!!! Man if the T-maxx is this bad I wonder if anything was hurt on the S10. Sorry to hear about the Maxx bro but I see a FLM or Dace Predator chassis in your future. Hope you getting her up and running again soon. As for the motor, I would see about getting a new head and see how much longer that engine runs. You never know it could be a good bashing motor.

The previous thread was closed. I had sone some updates to it, went to a 4 shock setup, new rims and tires and new carb body, went tuning it without a body on.
On the return WOT pass a White Chevy S10 pulled out in front of it. The rest is history.

    DaTmaxx,
Yes I am a network administrator, but our occupation does not carry as great a $$ as what it used to. I still am the sole supporter of my family and have bills. Trust me, the $$ is tight and I have a very real budget.
I bring my lunch to work (today ham and cheese woohoo, got some carrots too).

So don't go thinkin I can repair this and it not hurt financially. But this is my hobby and I will save my pennies.

It stinks, It made me quite sad, I've been building this Monster since the day I had it. I love wrenching, and upgrading it.

So I'll get to do some more of what I love as soon as I get a few $$ together and hunt down a chassis that will be better than the RCRaven chassis I had.

pretty ugly there nitro. good thing that aftermarket mount broke or you could be hunting for some more costly parts. i think you have a prime piece of evidence for the age old debate about if its a good idea to buy a new mount or stick with the stock weak one. when it comes down to it, the mount is a weak point even if you have an aftermarket.. however you are forunate.

I feel for ya man, but oh well, it happens to the best of us. Time to start wrenching again. But keep in mind, you still have the Mugen to tide ya over. I'll keep my eyes open for ya.
