I had a bad one 2 weeks ago. I broke the motor mounts on both my T-maxx and S-maxx because I kept landing on the lid after getting 8-10 feet of air off a dirt pile. But, regretably I didn't take any photos of those. But, I have these...

Pulled the screw to the turnbuckle right out of the bulkhead on a runaway and the broken turnbuckle was the only thing that stopped the truck from going into a huge sedement pond.

My brother-in-law broke his lower a-arm when trying to hit a dirt pile to jump but his a huge rock that was at the bottom of the dirt pile and was covered by grass.

I'm sure there will be more to come after I attempt the long jump at RC Monster Jam this weekend.

Most MY Major upgades due to Bad Crashes.

    1. I have used mailbox posts as brakes/breaks. Brings your TMAXX to a complete stop. blew out 3 a-arms, RPM's were their replacement. I have hit almost every mailbox on my street for I think maybe 2 of them. give me some time I'm sure it'll happen.
1st major collision was having an RCRAven Roll cage and FLM bulks on a stock 2.5 chassis. Did not have a throttle return spring, was smart enough to turn on my transmitter but darn it forgot about that receiver. The throttle was left wide open from my last after run. Wouldn't ya know it started up the very first time, took off down the street and you bet it found a nice 4 x 4 mailbox post. Snapped the front tabs of the chassis and toasted the 4 front shocks. That's how I got my RCRaven Chassis and my big bores

    2. I had been in racing for about7 months and was signed up for my first state race, just put on some new Knucklehead shock towers and replaced the carb body, was doing some test and tuning up and down my street ( A REAL BAD IDEA) and one of my neighbors pulls out in his Chevy S-10 right in front of me. My TMAXX had no body on. It went right under the S-10 and you heard the clunk. The motor stopped running. Bent the chassis, broke the motor mount, took a few cooling fins off the powertune head, broke a few teeth on the CB. Upgrade!
Added Predator chassis and put a new Robinson Racing CB, it was not 100% finished but I only had a few days before the race. It has worked out just awesome. I could not be happier with my truck now, and I finished 15th out of over 50 Monster truck entries.

SO I upgraded! Predator chassis and RacerX shocks (not pictured)

Hit the corner of a garage full speed. Didn't hit it head on, clipped it with one of the front tires. Gotta love the RPM arms! Only thing that broke were the bulkheads and the front skid plate.

I dunno...probably hit something head on I assume:

I've bought so many parts at my LHS, that's probably how they could afford to get a bigger building...

Ouch. That's gonna require pretty much rebuilding the whole front end. How'd you manage to break the pipe?!?

Hey, thats not bad for being run over! Look at it this way, any other type prolly would have been totally flattened.

Actually speaking of flattened, when I was like 6 I had this really cool Jurassic Park Rc truck that would shoot water from this dinosaur that popped out of this cage in the back. One day I was driving it and my sister ran it over with her car while learning how to drive. It went from about 6 inches tall to about 2 inches.

Anyways since I have seen some of the pictures posted of maxxes ran over, everytime I cross this street that I used to just fly across I can imagine a car coming out of nowhere and smashing my maxx in the middle of the street. Now it makes me check to make sure that cars arent coming before I cross it (normally I will just stand near where the two roads meet).

And I though I was hard on my truck. I guess leaving those stock bulkhead as a 'breaking point' were a good idea after all.

I would like to also put a bid in as well for the cutting edge cooling fin design head for the 3.3 as well. At the very least it would make a good conversation piece at the LHS. "There I was..."

I let my friend drive my maxx and I ended up clipping him with my FG MT5.
