The most beautiful SRT, and an Eagle oval track racer pics

These pictures were sent to me buy a guy named Chris. I believe I met him on URC, but he was a member here also. His screen name was something similar to oldsw31

The first pics are of a carbon fiber SRT. The Chassis was made by a company in the UK that I think was called Fiberlite. I did a search but could not find them.

These are pictures of an Eagle that was built specifically for Oval Racing. It has longer arms on one side than on the other. He also used some turnbuckles to stiffen the chassis

I had lost these pics on my PC, and managed to find them yesterday. I decided that I would share them with you guys.

Those SRT chassis' look great! I don't know if I could bring myself to drive one of those! (That's why I wouldn't want one! It would be too tempting!)

Man, that CF SRT looks awesome! I'm not a skilled driver[basher!!] but if I had that unit I'd have to give racing a try.

I have a Traxxas SRT with the original Graphite SRT chassis. I believe it will perform as well as that CF chassis but does not look so nice.

I really need to get that thing back together. I tore it down to get it cleaned up. We moved after the tear down and now it just sits in a box waiting for me to put it back together.

It has been weighing on my mind.....I do have 2 SRTs, a TRX3, and my Eagle project that just need electronics swapped in to be in running. I am aiming for making my next race in mid October. The Eagle, and TRX3 are a priority right now. I hope to hit the track a few times before then.

Ahh... well in that case you should just seal up the box and put my name and address on it!

Just kidding... I'd rather have a TCP anyway!

He was not selling those trucks. The top picture of the SRT was taken the day he got it. The second picture was the truck after he had started modifying it. I think that those are Associated B3 front arms, and caster blocks, and T3 Spindles. His goal was to make the front and rear exactly the same width so that he could run those T3 rims. I never heard how that project ended up working for him. He is the only person i really talked to that was as interested in racing these old Traxxas trucks as I am. He and another member on here gave me a little advice on how to go about getting my SRT ready to race against the newer offerings from Associated, and Losi. It is much easier to just buy a Losi or Associated, but I have always liked a challenge.

Compatible, or comparable? These trucks were made for different end users in mind. Racers....Rustlers were made for the ready-to run crowd...Plug and play

If you are asking if parts are compatible...Some are. The transmission internal gears will all work (even VXL) The SRT came out with the tie bar that you see on the VXL. The front bulkhead is the same. It is common to see a SRT front tower on a Rustler. The E-clip capture pins you can now get for the Rustler were actually stock on the SRT. The SRT actually shares a little more with the Nitro Rustler (rear arm mounts, front and rear arms, Front spindle set up, wheels, the rear bulkhead is very similar and may be interchangeable{I should check on this, but I have about 15 of them sitting here, so I won't need to buy a new one for quite some time})

I'll be picking a Nitro bulkhead up.

What's the length from centerpoint to centerpoint of the mounting holes on the SRT bulkhead? Also, what's the overall heighth & width? Once I get one, I'll compare the dimensions and post my findings.
DTM rocks! Audi kicking some M-B rear! :)
