    My 3.3 is dead...

    Hi guys !
I project to install an OS, but the 18 TM is propose in 2 version, for the Revo and for T-Maxx, which is the good for the Jato ?
And is it possible to install the 21 TM ?

the difference with the OS .18TM versions, is the header and carb linkage, none of the headers would work in a jato, and you will want the revo version for its carb linkage, so you will need to dremel or drill the inside of the stock header out to fit over the .18's exhuast port... i had to, only took an hour or so of fiddling about.

And yes, the .21TM will fit...

i thought that the revo has a slightly diffrent carb linkage to the jato, so he would need the t-maxx version?
im not sure how accurate the pictures are on towerhobbies, but if you look at the revo version and the t-maxx version, only the t-maxx version has a ball on the end of the carb linkage.

I believe it drops right in.

The O.S. .18TM has been discontinued by O.S., if you can buy one you may want to pick it up before they are all gone.

What are they replacing it with?

The .21 TM, I think. The problem is the .21 is more expensive, so O.S. is going to lose a lot of business unless they drop the price on the .21s. The .18TM is on-par with the 3.3--more bottom-end but less top-end--and was competitively priced. Now that the .18 has been discontinued, 3.3 sales will probably go up and O.S. will lose some of the basher market because of their prices.

Hold off until your 3.3 is dead, by that time maybe O.S. will drop the price

You need the T MAXX version of the .18TM , and you need a header for an HPI RS4 2 .

Here is a link too the header ....

It will drop right in with that header ......

Thank you very much, Jato 3.3.
MRB1GG, I think the difference is the exhaust manifold

The exhaust manifolds are different (obviously) and the REVO version does NOT have a ball link on the throttle slide , you need the ball link for the JATO's throttle linkage .

Besides that they are the same engine .

You can still use the T-Maxx engine on the Revo, but not the other way around. The throttle bell crank will work with the ball on the end (the 3.3 in my Revo has a ball on the end and it works fine).

    Hi guys !
I want to live in United States !!!
In fact, I've buy a new 3.3 this week, on ebay, for 113 $ (the rate of exchange between the dollars and the euro is very interesting for us). Do you imagine that my LHS would sell me this engine for 300 € (445 $) !!!
My LHS is a nice guy (he told me to buy my 3.3 on the net !!!), it's because of the importer. As I said on in another thread, I bought my Jato 750 $... IT's promise, I 'll buy my next car by internet !
Go back to the engine, you probably don't care about the french price list

I choose the 3.3 cause I've made a lot of stuff to stop the wheelies of my Jato, cause I think it's spectacular, but not very effective. I'm fear for the power of an OS for it... I don't want that my front wheels become decorative...
