Welcome to the Bandit/Rustler Gallery, a place where everyone can show off pictures of their latest bodies, or latest chassis modifications. Feel free to list all of your current hop-ups, etc.


Here are the rules :

1: This thread is for pictures only, if you have a question for one of the people posting a picture, please send them an e-mail or a PM so the thread doesn't get cluttered with chit-chat. (if you are posting a picture, please make sure your preferences are set to receive PM's from other members)

2: Maximum picture size should be 640x480 (preferably smaller) so it will fit on most people's computer screens without scrolling, and to be considerate to those on a dial-up connection. Anything larger will be deleted.

3: Anything off topic will be deleted.

4: Any "dead" links - you guessed it - deleted.

My New VXL Rusty with New Owned Wheelie Bar

Traxxas wheelie bar can't help anything when it's fast and increase more speed

Now Top speed is 51.33 mph with spur 76t and pinion 28t, I'm waiting to order new bigger pinion for getting more speed.




ps. FLM chassis , upper chassis, bulkhead and castle block are waiting to fix them up after trying top speed....

Here's both of mine. The blue one originally had a MSC and no slipper clutch, now it has been upgraded slightly with the Velineon system, new body, Masher 2000's, RPM A-arms, new steel geared tranny, bearings throughout, Big Bore shocks and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now. The red one is pretty much a stock VXL with RPM caster blocks and front and rear bearing carriers.

A couple differnt bodies that have been on the rustler.



After the stock chassis broke. I made a chassis out of 1/4" lexan. That eventually broke at the same spot as the stock chassis did. This chassis was made from 3/8" lexan. Upper deck and shock tower are from 1/4" lexan.


More mods. To keep the strength of the 3/8" and not the weight. Routed out the bottom of the chassis with a design to lose a couple of ounces. Added an Integy alum bulkhead.


Next on the list was some extended arms. I made some for the f/r that were pretty straight forward. The arms in the picture were the last ones I made. Tried a different design with the jagged edges. They were made from 3/8" lexan also.


The addition of the FLM transmission case.


A rear arm broke in 10 degree weather. Replaced the rear arms w/ FLM ext arms. Replaced the HB shocks with Big bores and the addition of an Integy transmission case.


The stampede will benifit more from the extended arms. So it got the blue set up and the rustler got the red set up.
