The Blue VXL is mine...Fresh out of the box. Black VXL is my oldest son's. Red XL-5 is my youngest son's. There are also two Rustlers and one RC18T on our street owned by other youngsters. It is utter mayhem.

Bone stock Stampede XL-5. VXL system and 2s lipos on the way. Modified the front and rear shock towers and installed a stock Rustler body. The only other changes i plan to make are some RPM parts, but only after the stockers break.

OK guys its painted, not my best work but getting used to a new airbrush.
I really should have waited till I got some liquid mask but oh well.
Its a pretty simple paint job but gets the point across and at 45mph you aint gonna see the flaws lol

Stampede XL5 stock body with lights from rc light house on ebay.

80 Chevy K10 Proline body. First attempt at painting. A run or two, non crisp edges and stuff. A lot harder painting the inside versus the outside.

Mine and my son's Pede...our project truck

We custom made our own lights, and they are operated from a 2.4 GHz 4 Channel TRX. The upper and lower lights are operated seperately.

The tail lamps get brighter when the throttle is placed in the Rev/Brake position!

more to come.....we recently upgraded to Pro-Line suspension!

New pics with the Pro-line Protrac suspension for the Slash.

Side by side comparison. Left photo is with the stock setup.

It gives it a 20mm wider wheel base and also moves the tops and bottoms of the shock mounting points outboard for more side to side stability.
