    Average run time's

Hello, i currently own a jato and two other nitro car's and truck.I was wondering whats the run time on the VXL car's and truck's? Do different batteries prolong them? And with the speed mod's, do they shorten the running time? I was thinking of getting a VXL series R/C.(any opinion's would be greatly appreciated) I used to have the old Tamiya Frog, Hornet and the Fox. Those run time's averaged @ 15-20 min's on a good charge. Thank's

there are alot of things that determine runtimes.. One is the mah of the battery, and the system you are using..gearing will also make a difference.

Molly - I get get a good 15-20 mins on a 4500mah Nimh pack. you should gt the similar times depending on your driving style and gearing. My 3S 5000 lipo runs over a half hour in a VXL bandit.

I have the vxl series...5 of them....there are only 4 pictured here, i just built a 5th last night:

batteries are what determine run time...if you run lipos, you will be able to run upwards of 25-45 miinutes on a single battery.....lipos have been proven to give the longest runtimes and the most power.

    here's some links:

best place in the world for batteries IMO

    http://www.maxamps.com/

    8000mah batteries 35-45 min runtime:

a starter set that includes everything you need:

charger, balancer, lipo bag and a 3s 11.1 5000 mah lipo(the 5000 lipo will give you approx 20-25 min runtime.

lipo care page.....everyone should read this:

    70+speeds you'll need atleast a 5000mah lipo and a 76t spur with a 31t pinion.
