What is the best weight oil for the Revo differentials? What weight will let you corner the quickest?
are you using a center diff? if not then the stock oil that come in it.
zip ties & duct tape,a racers most important tools
Well, your question is kinda vague. But my setup is thus: 100k oil in front diff, 50k oil in center diff and 30k oil in rear diff, and I am running a picco 26. With my 3.3 I was using 50k in the front, 30k in the center diff and 10k in the rear.
50/500/30 if thye track is loamy or ruts
50/500/10 if the track stays fairly smooth
i have used the first since i got the CD i ran 50/30 when i had the FOC

HELIOS W/SPEKTRUM
+^^^^ if you are bashing you should put 50wt ft and 50wt rear
"I love the smell of Nitromethane in the morning"
could someone explain all these different oil wghts??? I'm used of using 1ooo 2000 3000 and so on up to maybe 50000 which I use very rarely..I'm seeing people say they use 50 whgt some say 5000 some even say 500000 whgt.. now whats the difference or are they all the same with just more or less zeros...
I have mine this way and it seems to be great for bashing although im not one to tell much of a difference between the different weights when added but I just knew I needed something thicker than stock.Originally Posted by fingrzpizan

the best oil for the rear is no oil. use a spool you can turn really quick around the corners on dirt, just dont over power it in the corner or you will spin out really easy.
ok, oils range from 3000 weight (3k) to 100,000 weight (100k), and it's that simple, sometimes though people improperly describe what they use. I've even seen someone here put 500k and 500,000 weight, which do not exist. If they were talking about a heavy oil they meant, 50,000 weight (50k) or a lighter oil 5000 weight (5k).
Hope this helps
I use 500k which is 500,000 wt in my center diff as well as alot of other racers in here, and the platinum revo drivers. Sometimes a change to 300k which is 300,000wt when needed.

Different PPL will use different diff oils in their diffs. So don't be afraid to try different diff oil in your diffs. Just make a record of what diff oil you change to and how it reacts differently to the other diff oils. Whatever you do don't take one person's set up and think it will be the best for you. You have to try different things. diff
