That thing sure does lean toward the outside on a hard turn. Seems like the stock spring are really weak. Stiffer springs might be my first hop-up when I get mine. Should be soon. Tower had charged my card and they say they are boxing it up right now.

Is the E-Revo any good at bshing? Or is it just for racing?
What are these "brakes" you speak of?

That sucks!! I'm bummed. I was planning on using my venom 5400 3s packs in my Erevo. They measure 32.5mm thick. I guess I'll have to get the dremel out and start hacking up the battery trays. The pics of the battery compartments looked as if there would be plenty of room but I guess not

I don't think you will need to hack, those trays are pretty flexible and you can flex them enough to fit them in.

If anyone has access to some TrueRC 2S 15C 8000mah lipos, would be great to see about test fitting them in the vehicle.

Looking forward to some race reports.

thanks. Looking for actual fit in tests. Could be a determining factor for me as far as going with the E-Revo over my Emaxx.

Actual wheelbase with or without extended arms…?

The E-Revo specs show a wheelbase of 358mm.
The Nitro REVO has 367mm with the 10/19mm extended rear arms.
Would be interesting, how the wheelbase of the stock E-Revo is achieved – with or without extended rear arms…?

    Many thanks,
    Thorsten

I believe the Erevo has standard arms, so if you added the set-back/extended rear arms, it would give you an extra 20mm or so of wheel base I think?...

Got mine today at the LHS. I'm a total newb when it comes to RC, so I have little to compare it to. But WOW, this thing is fun. Only had 1 set of 5000 nimh batts to run through, went for about half an hour I'm guessing (the run was pretty broken up).

Already got some minor scratches and dings on the bottom skid plates bashine over some rocks... but that's what skid plates are for, right? I just made a ride height adjustment to raise it a little, hoping that helps the clearance some.

With hard turning at speed it didn't flip.

    It's just a beast. Can't get enough!

(and sorry birdy, not trying to threadjack at all, just yell at me if I should start a new post or whatever)

Hey Cain - I don't think your True RC 8000 15Cs will work. I have the 10Cs (which are supposed to be 2mm thinner) and I can literally barely get them to fit. I couldn't get one of the tabs to click closed on one side and they were bowing the middle section up. Note that I measure mine at 1 3/16 - maybe that a touch more than 28mm, but regardless I'm sure the 15Cs are thicker.

I think I'm going to get 2 6400 mah 15Cs from True RC - they are supposed to be 2 mm thinner thant the 8000 10Cs - should be a nice fit with some good (but not great) amp capabilities. Some of the gurus on here have advised me that I should still be able to run a 1Y with those batts.

I'll keep the 8000s for my mm 6900 rusty and my son's VXL pede.

No extended arms - the chassis is just longer. The axles are pointing straight out from the diffs and I know they wind up being swepts back with the plus 10/19's.

    Of course…!
    You are absolutely right

The chassis view from the top shows it…
The rear drive shafts are very straight, so there are normal arms installed and there is room to extend the wheelbase even more.
Needed or not, but it is nice to have this option…

    Many thanks,
    Thorsten

You would only be able to run two 2s packs with the stock esc.
My plan is to run twin VXL's with twin venom 5400 3s packs, one pack per esc. I may have to order a couple 4000 3s packs if mine dont fit in the compartment.
