    Hello,

Unfortunately not. They just told us about the ad, not what it was referring to. Just keep an eye on www.traxxas.co since that is where any information will show up first.

    Best regards,
    Stephen Lindholm,
    TRAXXAS Customer Service
That e-mail does not say that it's not a rock crawler.

He is saying that they didn't tell him what the ad was referring to, so how could he be saying what it is or is not?

Without knowing your specific question to him, "Unfortunately not" doesn't mean anything. My guess is that he unfortunately cannot tell you because he doesn't know himself.

Having spoken with a few Traxxas customer service reps, they don't find out until we do because they're on the design/engineering team.

Long story short: We'll find out soon enough!

Cynix, I still don't think that's what he meant.

"They just told us about the ad, not what it was referring to." = They did not tell him what the ad was referring to.

If they didn't tell him what the ad was referring to, how would he know what it is or is not?

What I am saying is most RC company employees can't, don't or won't tell you what their companies are going to release.

I just spoke with a Traxxas rep. He said they do not tell them what it is or what it is not. He said they do announce things typically on Fridays, and it could be as early as tomorrow, but not necessarily.

He personally is speculating that it's a crawler based on the magazine it was on and the tire tracks, but they do not know so it's just a guess.

Yes, I'm praying that it's not a small class crawler. I just don't see the point. Super class! I'd pay an E-Revo price for a well put together RTR crawler. I picture it having dual motors - a Titan over each axle, using the EVX2 and 4 Maxx sized shocks. Mind you, this isn't a wishlist, it's what I expect them to release.

I personally would love an 1/18th scale crawler for indoor crawling in the cold season. Desk crawling would be great too: phones, staplers, books, etc can make a quick course!

I started with a Super crawler, but it was so capable that it was hard to fine challenging terrain for it. I then moved to a 2.2 crawler but there is still a lot of terrain nearby that is way too easy for it. That terrain would be a blast with a smaller scale.

Here's my take. If it is a crawler, it'll be something akin to the revo in electric form, 4x4, but with a shorter chassis. Long travel rockers and perhaps a newer design of suspension arm that bends downward for extra GC. I have spoken...

If it is a crawler, I wouldn't be suprised if it was a 1.9 to compete with the Losi and Duratrax for that segment. Just my guess. I'd like another 2.2 personally.

The add says, "any terrain, any place, any time" or something like that. I think it will be a Twin force/mad force like truck, With more flex than a Tmaxx for extreme bashing. The T/Emaxx and revo make nice bashers, but the independant suspension is a bit stiff for some places.

I was thinking along these lines too. A crawler/basher hybrid of some sort. The ad says: "Unstoppable. Any Terrain. Any Challenge. One truck." Traxxas has no problem with creating a new segment, as they just did with the Slash and Slayer, so why would they stop there. I know Axial has their "Rock Racer" version of the AX10, so something along those lines? But yes, the email said Friday from Steve, but which Friday he didn't specify. Nothing yet!

It's not going to be a crawler. But keep your eyes peeled. Traxxas has taken notice. Their will be one probably around Christmas.

C'mon kulangflow, you know as well as I do, that he doesn't have any insider information, but I know you had to ask, right? We all know that no one has insider info! Just like no one has had any insider info on the 3905 EMaxx, or the E-Revo, or the Slash, or the Slayer.......and the list will continue! I love people that drop this amazing info on us to show they now what it is or isn't, but they never back it up with any kind of source. Sounds like the Barry Bonds / Balco case!!!!!

With this new information that kulangflow has brought to light, I don't think I want one. I hear the maintenance on these types of models is ridiculous and you have to replace the shell several times a day.
