Ok, Traxxas is not a stupid company and ad space is not cheap, especially the rear cover of a magazine. Maybe they want to keep us guessing, string us along...keep us from buying an Axial or one of the others. Also, at the same time, making the other manufacturers a little nervous.

I am assuming it is a crawler, in stores by early November for Christmas.

They are keeping me from buying a AX10 as of now.

Friday was the coveted day, maybe they meant a Friday in September since it was a September issue....

after looking at the ad more carefully and the tire marks, and considering the fact that the truck might have been going down the stairs, and seeing the v-twin emaxx already listed on towerhobbies, i think it might just be the dual velineon emaxx and it uses the new T-Maxx's 6.3 tires which is what the marks look like. -still not completely sure though... i guess there is a possibility of it being a crawler..

yea that is what i mentioned at the beginning of the thread and it is going up because if it was going down the edges of the stairs would have a mark of the tire.

OM traxxas has said the v-twin will not be released. all the tower listing shows is an emaxx vxl. nothing about v-twin at all.

all you gotta do is look at full size concept cars. most dont ever make it into production. that is what the v-twin is. they built it to show the strength of the drivetrain.

If you guys look at the bottom of the ad in the left hand corner it says something about Copyright Traxxas 2008 and then "1P-Unstoppable 080711"
could this mean that they don't plan to release the vehicle (whatever it is) until August 7, 2011 that would really tick off alot of people waiting for a Traxxas crawler. I do agree, why put an ad on the back of a crawler magazine if your not releasing a crawler, but, if you look at the ad between pages 31 and 32 it's an ad for the #3905 waterproof e-maxx. Also, On the second page of the ad it touts the torquey greatness of the optional #3998 Two Speed Conversion Kit. So why waste the back cover ad on something you already promote in another ad in the middle of a magazine so it has to be a crawler right? This is drving me nuts!

Wow, relax already. If you want to crawl, get a crawler. Easy enough. I got my AX10 and am a happy camper, if TRAXXAS releases a crawler, so be it. I got enough other stuff on my plate right now, like a dead e-revo waiting on a new esc. But at least my scorpion is tons of fun. Relax and quit trolling.

FireWire said it all. AX-10s are where its at right now. If you get one you will not be disappointed. Its bad right out of the box, but there are TONS of upgrades available.

Well, on a Traxxas forum you're gonna get people who are excited about Traxxas products not Axial Scorpions. I guess since you already have your "crawler" you don't need to worry about new products. I guess the AX10 will be the last thing you ever buy, I feel sad for you.

I've been thinking about getting the Axial Scorpion ARTR, but if Traxxas does come out with a crawler before the new year, then that would be something that I would consider.

Also, the tire tracks on the stairs look they are tracks from wet tires. And for those of you saying that it cant be a crawler because of the tires and the width apart, just look at the super class crawlers. Those things are huge.

Another thing is with the 080711 thing, if it really was something coming out in 2011, why would they be advertising it now?

Traxxas are the kings when it comes to generating excitement and speculation. It is pretty funny that people are speculating on the tires, the tread, and the width. It's just a picture with no scale representation. It's most likey a cgi picture!.........fun stuff!

I agree w/ jstmonsters we don't know what scale those steps are, those tires could be 2.2's and the width between could be about 3-4 inches making it about the right size for a crawler. Look at how big the tires are on the PTI Goliath.

My wife of 20 years doesn't put up with it so much as she is so oblivious to my hobby she thinks all of my trucks are the same vehicle. At one point she asked "Why do you keep taking it apart and rebuilding it, didn't you get it right yet?" I just pat her on the behind and smile. Either she doesn't mind or doesn't care as long as she knows where I am.

Yep, she is definately a keeper in more ways then one. She was glad I wasn't the type to waste money going to the bars and that she didn't have a problem with me spending that money on my hobby. Now 2 of my kids are into the hobby also, which means I can waste more money....... on the hobby.......
