    jato 3.3R with a 3 speed!!!!!

i figured this place would be as good as any to add this thread, "jato guys are the best when it comes to mods"

so if you were traxxas what would you come out with next???

i would make a 3.3R engine or a maybe a high reving big block to replace the 3.3

also i would make a jato with the above stated engine with updated transmission internals and a 3 speed.....advertise 75mph rtr

could you imagine a revo, jato, and slayer with a 3.3R or high reving big block with a 3 speed!!!

also on the 3 speed subject could they make a 4 speed or 5???
we could see some big mph revo's or jato's with a 3,4, or 5 speed that would be sweet but hey i would be happy with just a 3 speed for now

any other suggestions??? what would yall make if yall were traxxas???

no i was meaning a newer powerplant, they have had the 3.3 for a while now and its time to update..... maybe a more aggressively ported 3.3 w/ a better performance carb, or a high reving big block or something different...... everyone and their dog has a 3.3 and alot of them are throwing them away and replacing them with picco's and o.s. and all kinds of other engines cuz they aren't happy with their 3.3 anymore, i think its time to make a new engine for traxxas

hmm if thats so, maybe i need to get more updated on my readings.....?

but the whole bigger motor thing does sound cool with the 3 speed, but i wonder if 75 mph is a bit optimistic. what im saying is that i wonder if it would be plausible? im sure it could tho...

optimistic?... i never thought of myself as that... but ok lol

and as for as every one ditchin the 3.3...... i don't see why.... so far, over revo has one of the fastest jato's there is and it's a 3.3........
i think the other guy is runnin a 3.3 as well but not really sure.....

well they advertise 65mph out of a stock 3.3 and 2 speed and guys get 70 with a modded 3.3 and 2 speed, so.... i would assume with a more powerful engine and a 3 speed it should be very possible to get 75mph.....

    very true robbie

and whooaa forbes i wasnt calling you optimistic at all, i was saying that the thought of 75 mph in a jato seemed optimistic.

but just for the record i guess being optimstic wouldnt be bad at all

    how is this possible?

if a 3.3= .20 cubic inches i think. and big block is .21+.....

so how would you have a big block 3.3?
big block motor IN a 3.3 style jato?

just confused but it does sound cool

Think about the problems with the second gear now, and you want to throw more gears into the equation. No thanks, perfect the 2 speed
