The rubber o-ring idea is great. How did it handle the MMM's heat? Your E-Revo is awesome! I also like my wiring as clean as possible.

Yup, now I can program the MMM hassle free...I got a servo extension wire, cut the female end off and attached to the MMM cable, pretty much made my own y harness..The recepticle is by ernst #LXE965

Well guys what do you think?? I will be moving to a new house within these 2 weeks, so I apologize if I do not respond to anyone with questions..

I have one more final part to add to make it complete..will post details & pics soon..
I tried doing the same mod you did with the Castle Link connector. I found a y-harness through Eagle Tree Data that is used for monitoring throttle position. It's just a plain harness with 1 female and 2 males. I have the same Futabe receiver as yours...I think...the 3PM. When I plug it all in, it won't connect with the software. If I unplug the y-harness from the receiver then it works fine. Is yours working ok? If so, are you using the same receiver?

Make sure the "y" connector is NOT a reversing "y" adaptor. You can check it by unplugging everything from your rx and then plug in a rx batt and a servo. Watch which way the servo moves , then plug in the "y" (between the rx and servo and see which way it moves.
Also fyi you need a "y" with 2 female ends and 1 male end.

I checked my Y-harness and it's definitely NOT a reversing one. I did notice that ONE time I heard some feedback through the steering servo and when I moved the wheels ever so slightly, the Castle Link hooked up. I couldn't duplicate this later, however.

I just installed the Traxxas on the front. Major interference with the tranny if you install as described in the instructions. The only way to get them to work is to bend them significantly outward, which to me appears to lessen their already limited effectiveness.

Picked up the Tekno, which installed very nicely, and they do exactly what Stumblins video shows. No brainer on this one... Tekno gets my vote.

spektrum and other 2.4ghz receivers come with short antennas.
    http://spektrumrc.com/Products/Defau...ProdID=SPM1210

cutting the wire to a RX is normally bad for reception.

I was told, some Rx wires are a specific legnth to optomize reception.
    be nice.

He is using a faast system which is more powerful so it doesn't have a long antenna.

longbill is using a neu 1515/2.5D/F I believe. My guess would be top speed around 55-60mph on 6s lipo and gear to high heaven. Yes the neu motors are brushless and sensorless.

Hey Guys, sorry for being MIA these few weeks, for of those that do not know I recently moved to a new house so I apologize for not replying to some of your questions.. I am still settling in, have not got the chance to really mess with my E-revo.. but I know it still runs perfectly fine with a rx pack..
    anyways..here are some quick answers...
Use vinegar with dye...add pepper for taste most important ESSENCE! BAMM!

I'm running a Neu 2.5d with 6s lipo, pretty darn fast, not too sure about MPH..

Thanks Hoov & Magicman for helping me reply

Engineersauron sorry for the delay, my PM box is now cleared..

Gage, I am using the Futaba 2.4 Fasst receiver, I wounded the antenna and had only about an inch sticking out of the rx box, cut a short piece of antenna tube to match. NEVER cut any antenna wires!

now, if that mm esc fails, then you would have to re-wire all the nice wiring on the MMM.
also, might just want to buy the traxxas MMM mount when it comes out

Hey Longbill, just an idea for you. Send these pics to Traxxas so that they can see how clean a truck should luck when its set up properly. Since they are going to be releasing the MMM/Castle Neu combo soon, this may be exactly what they need to see.

This is a fantastic build. Super clean on everything. I can't even imagine having such a clean looking truck.

Hey guys, still no updates..been busy setting up my home theater ..my other passion besides RC
Well I sent in my 3rd sets of MMM's for the new V3's so can't wait..

Hey Magic, you should give the MMM a shot since it's finally worked out..

Hockeyplaya, actually the way I set it up it's easier to remove the MMM than most setups, just look at the pics again..

Firewire, I'm pretty sure Traxxas have a pretty darn good R&D dept, they have a different approach, they're known for RTR setups, mine is more of a kit/custom...so maybe one day they'll consider a Pro Kit but I highly doubt it. Thanks again for your kind compliments.

Once I get in my MMM V3 I will redo a couple of things and make my E-Revo even cleaner

    Stay Tuned!
