    one low jato

i have been asked by some of the guys around here how i got my jato so low....so i figured i would show u guys, in may be of help
as u can see it's a half inch off the ground
front view.... the front arms are upside down and swapped
here is a close up of the arms upside down... it requires a lil moddin for the front, the same can be done with rpm arms with no modding, or u can mod the stock ones
just an idea i have for a street model...
the springs are pink in the back and green in the front.... there is no fuel line in the shocks, it is 100% just setup and i maintain full down travel
    been there bought that

I read the article about the "Project Jato 3.3: Purpose-Built Strip Machine" on RCCA back issue(May, 2007). Interesting!!!. I bought a used Jato from one of member, I will convert it to a drag racer. will be exactly same as the one on that article......

My Jato above was sitting lower than yours with a normal setup. All you have to do is put fuel tubing on your shock shafts to limit the travel.

i realy dont want to go that route maby in the future. i still use this thing on my weekend bash time so i cant do the fuel thing to it cuz that will mean more work and ill be spending more money that way so ill just keep doing it like this till i get a nother jato for bash time and one for speed runs

Why not? It works great. Being that low isnt going to help any. All you need is a stiff suspension.

thats why i just cut my springs in the front, im just over 1/4in in the front and a bit under 1/2 in rear, i still have a stiff spring rate and works nice on flat surface but when the surface is un even i need to make it a bit higher, but i think im gonna make some drag blocks so i wont have to mess with ride height

A stiff suspension will do the same. All you need is the right spring and the right oil.

true, but on the same token, a softer shock angle will also help in body roll....
by stretchin the shock to the outer most point possible, it is fighting the urge hi center....more effectivly, however it does take away from rough surface handlein

hey everyone they all look good....and way to think outside the box....i love to see what people come up with when they have a serious obsession with there hobbies. I would love to try it out with mine but there is way to much dirt and hills where i'm at so my jato is set up for off road and dirt track.

dalefuler1 if you want to get ur speed go find a really big parking lot like at a mall or a school or stripmall. but rember u really need a lot of runin n stopin space. thats y i like were i live cuz my street is bout as long as 1/4 mile lond so i got lots of space and its all flat.
