    Three 2065 Servos!

    Hello Guys,

One of the major problems on the Revo 3.3 is the 2060 servo, right?

Well, the Summit has three 2065 servos! That's almost 100 dollars in servos!

So, what do you think, are they going to hold up?

    Daniel.

Good catch - five servos - WOW
those smaller servos are only shifting the diffs and transmission. they should be fine. but i am sure there are upgrade servos if needed.

Just think - a fully upgraded the Summit could have $3000 in it, how fun!

The Traxxas servos use a Futaba connector. They used to anyway, so I don't see why they would change it now.

The 2060's in the original revo were for steering and throttle. I've personally gone through more micro servos on my revo than 2060's(Three micros vs. Zero 2060s). The secret is all in making sure you pay attention to setting it up right.

The 2060 is actually the micro servo... The steering/throttle servo is the 2055...

I guess, the steering servos are 2075 on the Summit...

Yeah, that's what I get for posting before I'm totally awake. My point about making sure the servos are set up right still applies though. Most of the micros I burned through were because of improper linkage adjustment. Looking at what pictures I've seen, it seems traxxas has made most of those linkages on summit fairly simple(won't say idiot proof, because any idiot proof object just breeds dumber idiots). Also looks like a couple of the micro servos might have some sort of spring/servo saver on them. Maybe that will make them last longer.
