    I'll ask the bad question........

I'm a nitro guy but think I will be getting one of these, My question is will this thing go 30 Min w/o a battery change(LIPO) in race trim and If it wont what will make it go 30 min w/o a battery change???? If it wont go 30 min I'm not getting it. If I have to buy some crazy expensive lipos that is fine just let me know which ones to get.

Give or take a couple minutes some 8000 mah lipos should get you into that range. Of course gearing, and your driving will be factors in run time.
I should note I'm only repeating what I keep hearing.

I plan to run 5000 mah packs personally.

Yes, you can go 30 minutes w/o a battery change.

you will want some 8000mAh batteries

    I recommend the TrueRC 8000mAh 15C 7.4V 2S2P pack

go to truerc.com and scroll down untill you see EXACTLY what I typed. It will cost you $230 to buy two of them. That will allow you to run at 14.8V which is a great voltage for these trucks.

The optimal for top speed is 22.2V, but batteries that powerful will not run as long as you need.

With 14.8v, the right brushless motor and ESC, you should be able to get speeds of about 40-45mph and get your 30 minutes w/o issue.

Read the E-revo FAQ's for more info

I can back up what Hoov says. I have those batteries also, and they are incredible. Very good value for the money, and they fit nice and snug in the E-Revo's battery bays. Should be a perfect pairing with the MMM combo. You should be killing the nitros all day long with that set up!

anything above 5000mah will get you in the 30 minute run time range. Niha's your cutting it close I get about 24 minutes of full throtle on my 9 cell 5000mah from MaxAmps.

I dont think an 8000 pack would fit in the battery trays would it? May have to hack up the chassis, no real biggie though.

2S 8000 should fit (from what others have said) just not 3S 8000

I don't know about the SPCs, but the True RC 2s2p 8000mah 15c packs do! They are tight, but they do fit! I love 'em!

This is probably true, but i wasnt sure how big the origional posters track was. 1Fasterevo was running 30 minute mains and the 5000mAh was sometimes not enough. He was using the 5000's for the 20 minute qualifiers and the 8000's for the mains if I remember correctly.

The 8000's do fit, but again they are tight.

Don’t buy the Venoms! Please, do yourself a favor! Do a forum search for “Venom” and you will read a ratio of 10:1 for bad versus good stories! This is no joke! Anyone want to back me up and help this poor fellow?
