I'm guessing Traxxas makes batteries now? I wonder whose they are.

Yeah but these packs are only available if you buy your E-revo from a local retailer, not online, lol. I was planning on getting it through TowerHobbies but now I may have to call up the local hobby shop and hope they have decent prices

Is this to offset the cost of buying many more sets of Titans?

Is this some sort of sick joke? This truck isn't even compatible with NiMH batteries unless you undergear. And I bet because they are free they won't replace them when the truck destroys them. Unless they are really good cells they won't even last 5 runs.

I really hope Traxxas starts selling these individually, then i can send them back under warranty after the truck kills them and they'll have to pay to replace the batteries that their truck destroyed for a change

This is on the brushed version, which was designed for NiMh

Anyway the only problem I have with it is that it'll be a few weeks before you actually get to drive the truck, unless you buy more batteries with the truck

I have the brushed version. You tell that to the 5 dead high quality batteries it killed meaning it now collects dust on a shelf until i can afford lipos. If you have yours working with NiMH batteries i'd love to know how, please see my thread.

You'll probably want to do that anyway, if it is a 3000 pack it will last at most 5 minutes. With a 4000 you might get 8 if you're lucky. Then you have to wait two hours to charge. I know this as i had packs of these capacities.

These promotions can quite possibly be to offset the hit that they have taken from the current state of the economy that every one else has taken. I know that I have not purhcased a new traxxas product or part at least since early summer...
