    My SC8 and DRT Slayer

My Slayer is going to Slay its competition of SC8`s and DRT`s. The 3.3 is a fantastic motor but I wanted a little more power to strike fear into the hearts of non Traxxas corr truck owners lol. Any ways my Slayer now has a picco .26 JR red dot motor and sway bars. I cant wait to gt my hands on some of prolines new tires. Hopefully I will have some by next season. The motor bolted up perfectly I just had to move the wire that holds the pipe to the rear shock tower a little bit. The Sway bars went well Traxxas gave crystal clear instructions. The only problem I had was putting the rear sway bar on the front lol. Depending on the weather I will brake it in tomorrow not following piccos crazy and hard to understand brake in procedure I will probably do somthing like the Traxxas way. Sorry for the bad pics the lighting sucked and some pics are blurry. Also the flash really makes it look dirtier than it is.

yup let us know! i am thinking to get this motor too and try a long 3.3 revo chassis with all the slayer parts! this power will probably have the grunt i want for the heavier chassis
I have 15 r/c's and my slayer & slash are the best

Ok guys sorry for taking a while to update. Yesterday was a rare Oregon winter day were it was almost 60 for a little bit and get this it wasnt even raining! So I was pretty pumped needless to say I went out started it up and it idled like a champ I could have just walked a way and left it there and it would have been fine. After about 5 minuets of running the three screws that hold the spur gear on were gone???? Luckily I didnt shred it and one of my front motor mount screws were gone I have no idea how this happened. So I got new screws, read the picco brake in procedure again laughed at it than continued to brake it in some more. The only problem I have now is that it keeps dieing after a couple passes up and down my street. Just to be clear I am not asking why its dieing just stating it Traxxas dosnt allow trouble shooting for other engines.

The plug could not be hot enough and when there gets too much fuel it will drown the element or the hsn could be to lean depending how the bog is
    What shall I put here?

I think it is the plug because I am using the stock Traxxas one that came in the 3.3 its defiantly not to lean.

Get a McCoy59 if you run 20% nitro. Get a couple. 1 plug is never enough.

We have had really bad weather he so I havent been able to continue braking it in but today I did get one tank done. It died three or four times not because of the reasons before so I hope its just because its a new engine being broken in.

Well after two days of waiting I finally got a response on there forum and it turns out you really do have to start tuning the hsn while braking in.

Well I guess all motors are created differently. Two days! thats a bit stupid. I guess theres only one other guy on that forum other than you.

Hope that everythings working out for ya. Again I say cant wait to see that thing fly up n down your street! As well as tear up that dirt patch in front of your house! Lol seems your bro always makes his way there to successfully through dirt all over the sidewalk.

Well at least you recieved an answer, and when you get back out you can get her through the break in and really tear it up. Can I make a request for your video on the truck though? When you get it all tuned up and really ripping, would you do a wheelie as long as you possibly can? I just cant get enough of the really long walked wheelies! Lol. but seriously, I cant.

Good news so far I have leaned it 1 and a quarter turns its still really rich but it goes faster than 10 mphs at WOT now so its going good. But some how the little screw that holds that plastic piece on that opens and closes the carb fell of so I need to buy a new one of those.

i have been runnin the .26 max in my slayer and even with 18/34 gearing it still loops itself on the roof when it hits second. i have the red dot also and it is in one of my revos and does an awesome job. i anm a firm believer in put all the power you can in it and learn how to drive it by throttle control, rather than run it with a stock motor and wish it had more while holding it wot.......

Ok good and bad news. Good news I got a video it was done quick and not great quality I was trying to film and drive at the same time. I did some runs up the street and did a big wheelie but I thought I pushed record but I must not have. Any ways heres the video.
