    important!!!!!

well i took my slash out for the first time and i was having a blast until... i heard a crunching noise so i rinsed it off with a water hose and dryed it off, so i took off the gear cover and my spur gear was stripped and i looked closer and my gear mesh wasnt set right so if you have a slash check your gear mesh dont get in a hurry like me, now i have to wait till monday to order the part

Yup, make sure you have a couple of spares, they are cheap enough. It stinks waiting on parts.

Ive had my slash around 6 months and must have stripped like 10-12 gears already. I guess a locked rear diff with almost tight slipper and paddles at the beach is hard on gears.

I have never stripped anything but an idler and diff gear the pinions and spurs I have are the stock ones that came on my trucks. Well I guess it helps to pay attention to the directions when setting the mesh.
