Me and the kids are huge traxxas fans.
mods on McQueen:
- DS8325HV Power HD Titanium Gear High-Voltage Servo 31kg/79g/.118sec
single steering servo
- DeWalt 14.4V motor with laptop "routed" heatsink with fan when needed
(ESC 50% and 2x2S lipos for the kids, 100% 2S+3S for me)
- current gearing 19x58 (to 21x62)
- Novak lipo cut-off
- CC BEC
- Big Joes
- Revo body mounts
- Revo clear body
- lots of driveshafts untill I figured out how to work the clutch (with brushless, always have bunch of spares)
Tried:
150A ESC: works great but died after a couple runs (might be because of frequent reprogramming, not sure). Used with ******* X4074-2000kv (huge power) and Xerun sensored 4274 2000kv (really smooth). -> CC MMM in the mail, if CC dies => Tekin is next
- Savox 1256tg for single steering servo. Good stuff, still works, but powerhd is stronger.
- different connector types (trx, deans, hxt 4mm,.. finally went for polymax 5.5mm)
Died:
2065 servo
2075 servo
clutch bearings
front diff lock link
original geodes
body clips
etc..

Hello everybody,
I'm new in Summit, in forum, in share photos, this is my first try, hope it works.
The Summit as a few days, I've just changed esc and motor to a brusless one.
A good day to you all.
The new Trencher X tires and Desperado 1/2" offset wheels. I really like them so far. A very good alternative to the stock Canyons/Geodes. I have not rock crawled with them yet, so not sure how they will do for that. I like them for trail running. The Summit handles much, much better with them. (It's a pretty sweet bashing tire on the ERBE, too).

Wife bought me a Summit for my birthday. Having some troubles with it out of the box (esc flashing red/green) but excited to get it running.

This is how a Summit looks like after a nasty tumble down a hillside.
Is the Summit durable?
In my opinion, oh yes. Only the rear left axelcarrier broke. I love this beast.
