Why not just get a 1/10 Revo? Unlless those 1/16th are really low priced i don't see the point in getting them.

Sick that VXL is differnt from the regular one the heatsinks are differnt and there more rectagular.
Cant wait for them to come out. $300 for a BL-Mini with 2.4 GIG that would be crazy (not likey) but crazy
    EDIT:
Watched the Vid. and revo guy was right they did run 2.4 wonder whats going on there.

I'm betting they used the 2.4 because they were inside at a rc convention.I can't see them being that setup.

If you watch video 1, the guy says the 1/16 e-revo uses all waterproof electronics, which includes the vxl im guessing.

I talked to traxxas today and they said that the Erevo mini will come with a 27mhz radio, 6cell nimh and charger, and it SHOULD be less than $330. Also, they gave me a time frame. Between now and Aug. How specific.

Just another item to waste money on. Its going to be tough to decide which one to get. I'd like to see these next to a regular sized Slash and E-revo.

330 dollars is a lot of money for something that small. sure i want one and they are awesome but you can get a full sized nitro or emaxx for 330. i'm guessing it will be around what losi's minis are at at about 170. looks cool though.

losi's mini are smaller(1/18), 2 wheel drive, have been out for alot longer, and are basic. and the guy said less than 330

losi mini are smaller but they are not basic twin motors and 2.4 MHz radio. but they cost a fortune to make reliable.

Remember actual store prices are usually much lower than the "suggested retail price".
I've seen a suggest retail price of the Summit at $900 but it sells for around $500...

what i wonder is why it is appearing at toy fairs and there are videos of it running and not a piece of information about it on the traxxas site

After looking it up, you're right. I had forgotten about the mini-lst(cool truck). and I did not know that some of their minis had 2.4MHz.
The two trucks would be a blast together. Both have their pros and cons.

oh ya that is so true i won the mini ramination as a prize (same thing just diff radio single motor and non 2.4ghz radio) it was ok... untill steering servos break, brushless destroys diffs and center diff. viscous diffs didnt help much also

    exotek chassis about 90
    f/r diffs about 65
    center diff about 20
    steering servo about 75

so i spent about $250 actually more cause canada exchange rate and tax bs and i still had a piece of garbage that broke always

wow, sounds like losi's really getting some love on here...lol. i was just throwing out the price range since they were slightly comparable.
i wondered myself why traxxas isn't making a big scene about it on the website, since these things are obviously getting quite a bit of anticipation. i'm really hoping they come out soon because i'd like to get one, they look like they'll be a blast to drive.

That's what I was thinking too. At a RC show there's tons of RCs being driven or flown in races or demos from the manufacture. The camera crew is gonna want to have everything filmed in one shot. So having interference while filming would unacceptable.
