If you add a few more copper gaskets that should lower the compression. You'll have to play around to see how many you want to get the compression where you want it.

Ahhh yes. Loosening the head will result in and air leak. The engine will not run correctly and most likely overheat. Not to mention the mess it will make with the fuel leaking.

Sounds like you're using a pull start. If the engine is tunned properly with no leaks in the fuel and exhaust systems 1 or 2 tugs of the rope is all it should take to start.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

Just keep starting it that way...with gloves... a tight engine is better then a loose one. As with everything else

Is it flooded? I know a .15 is hard to pull when flooded.

On 2.5 and higher motors, I agree, but on the .12-.15, It's not that hard.

wow ive never had a problem with the pullstart on my 2.5.
    its always started right up...
usually the first half of a pull is hard because there is no oil on the piston to lube it...
give it a slow half to full pull and then give her a yank....or 2..lol
that always helps with my motor
!!!IF IT AIN'T REVO IT AINT WORTH IT!!!
