    Wheelie Bar Install on ERBE

The instructions for the wheelie bar don't account for the brushless revo.

Do I really have to dump the wing assembly and chromed rear bumper to make this work ? (5411,5446,5335X) What a pity, the wing is sexy.

Furthermore, the connection to the body mounts (5314) seems quite weak.

*apologies for the filthy rear end - forgot to wipe. 8-)

hmm i dont know what you did wrong but i have the same wheelie bar on my revo not the ERBE anyway you have to take that stuff off to install but you put it all back when you have the wheelie bar installed.

hmm. The 'rear bumper' pictured in the wheelie bar instructions is nothing close to the one on my ERBE ... in fact, it looks like my front bumper.

Here's a quick build of my wing assembly minus the chromed bumper for clarity... there is no room to install this wheelie bar's base on the ERBE ? odd.

What am I missing ? Maybe I've been starting at the problem too long I've missed the obvious. ( wimpers )

don't know about the wheelie bar, but if you go with the tekno rc wing mount you wont have the conflict, it mounts off the body mount.
i upgraded mine after busting the stock wing mount on a bad landing first time out, love it, much stronger than the flimsy stock unit.

Like HoovHartid said, no problems with the installation on mine either. I spent the extra $$$ and got the rubber tires with bearings and these really make better, more controllable wheelies IMO.

Thanks for posting the link Hoov !
It included an image that helped me figure out my problem.

I've taken a few photos myself to clarify for anyone else that may be left scratching their head on this mod for the ERBE.

The wheelie bars' quick release base has a prong that hooks into a reciever area formed by the two interlocking wing mounts (5411) The piece in the middle of the first photo (turned slightly upwards) is the wheelie bar mount.

    CLICK!

And an angle view ... notice how the wheelie bar's quick release is cupping the bottom ?

Lastly they include a longer set of screws to finalized the installation.

And there's even room to fit the sexy chromed bumper! \o/ YAY!
