Maybe he means speedometer, but that's more of an accessory than an upgrade. There's also spur gear, shock tower, servo saver, steel gear, anything starting with steel and ending with the "r", is this a riddle or does he not want to say something to offend traxxas?

Who knows. w/e though. All of those things are already "upgradable" so I'm out.

How many words is it then? Give us some sort of hint. And is it something the truck already has that would be a replacement part or is it some kind of additional item?

ya like 2 days ago I was trying to figure out how to make a swaybar... but no bright ideas came to me.
I have a 1:1 offroad truck with a swaybar that I installed "swaybar disconnects" on, and it works great )

I wish they make better spring options like tell us spring rates and length right on the packaging and item discription (4 those of us who only buy online).

also a permanently sealed shocks like the ones we use on our 1:1 cars. I hate shock oil... well I hate shock oil all over me and my stuff. And I suck at filling them, I always get air in them somehow.

yeah i wouldn't see as how a rustler would need a sway bar. i don't need one. drive a rustler and then drive a Slayer w/o a sway bar and you'll see what i mean. if one vehicle needs sway bars it's def the slayer they are roll over machines. i wouldn't drive my slayer without them.

Slashes could use them too, in their stock form. I cant even make a sharp turn with out it rolling, but I have gotten used to its handling.

A Rusty tranny with spider gears!!! Fat chance though.

    RPM Bulkhead

    Maybe RPM chasis

Some type of kit that converts the rustlers front end to a steering setup like the T4's

    Traxxas servos with metal gears

Like other people have said, I would also like more tire choices and spring rate choices

Seems like there is more...oh well...

i could see how the slash could possibly use one. they do look like they have a higher CG than the rustler.

How many times do you want me to say this laxman? The VXL for the 1/10 cars is going to be waterproof in a week or two! I don't know how else to say it.

How do you know that is going to happen in a week or two? I ask because I was talking to the guy who does the ordering for Ultimate Hobbies yesterday. They have virtually no Traxxas RTR cars on the shelf right now and I know they are one of the best sellers in the store. The guy told me they cant get them and dont know when they will be able to because Traxxas is updating all the RTR cars with the new 2.4 radio system and until the switch over is complete they cant get anymore RTR cars and Traxxas would not give him a date.

Dad: I have the new traxxas magazine, and under the 1/10 VXL ESC, it says waterproof. Also, on the VXL ESC it says Waterproof. Also, on the VXL rustler/bandit/pede page is says waterproof. So yes, I am pretty certain about it, lol.

I had not heard about the 2.4 radios though, that is sweet! I wonder if the price will go up because of that?

I dont doubt the waterproof what I wonder is where you got one to two weeks when Traxxas wont tell the guy from Ultimate Hobbies when the new RTR will be available to them.

Oh, sorry, thats what you meant. Actually, just from my hobby shop guy. He said they would have it on one or two weeks. Of course, he had no idea (other than sometime this month) as to when he would have the minis. So I guess he is hardly infallible.

I'd like to see double-helical gears in the transmission, to cut down on gear noise. Especially with all-steel transmissions, most of the noise the electrics make is from the transmission, and while it's not all that loud, it's still an irritating noise. It would be easy to do in the transmission, too, since the gear mesh and alignment is fixed. Doing double-helical for the pinion and spur is a bad idea, because it makes gear alignment difficult and eliminates all the aftermarket possibilities. Besides, with a plastic spur, there's not that much noise coming from that pair, anyway.

And of course, a viscous (sealed, fluid-filled) differential would be amazing, especially if they made it a more durable spider-gear design.
