ok whats everyones take on this? I'm kinda worried but then agian thats just me. and as of this morning I think there were only 50 cases in the US. and some TAMIFLU pill company says they have enough meds to treat 2million cases. but I'm still wierded out by the whole thing. just thought I might say this now. this morning I'm watchin the news and there talkin about but then go to commercial and say they'll have more answer I'm like o cool then they say tonight at 11" NO I NEED TO KNOW NOW !!!!! stupid news

Fun fact: the common flu kills about 36,000 Americans every year. Swine flu certainly is an issue and there is a cause for mild concern, but there's no need to be worried yet. This isn't 1918; we know how it works.

1. The news exagerates things to make you scared and usually doesn't have the right facts. 2. They said they have meds to treat 2 million cases. What if all of the meds are located out of the U.S. or if they are in New York and your in Cali? What if it can't get to you in time? Wash your hands is all I can say. My wifes a R/N and i have to hear about this every day now..

She told me the reason why people are making such a big deal about it is the fact that it mutated from animal to human. Once it's in humans "from an animal" it can mutate again into a more potant strain and without a known shot for it yet it can kill many..

Tamiflu is only a bandaid/symptom "helper" if you will.. There is no cure for a virus, the body has to cure it's self by becoming immune to it.. Every year there is a new strand of the flu virus hence the "flu shot" so the body becomes immune to it if it's ever exposed to the annual flu virus..

Holy... My wife and a girlfriend went to Mexico 2 weeks ago for a vacation. They came back last Tuesday night. We had prior plans for a family camping trip last weekend. Loaded up the RV (79 Fireball-ran great) Drove to the coast and Friday night, she starts having terrible stomach cramps. Not a fun weekend for her. We heard about this swine flu thing after we got back. Scared the heck out of me. She went to the doctor yesterday and it's not SF, just regular filthy-dirty mexico virus. I mean, why not Hawaii? Why vacation in a third world country? She is starting to feel a little better, though.

By the time 2012 roles around im going to be so sick and tired of this. Once again the media blowing out of proportion something of not small importance but not world ending big ethier. The Mayan calendar just states that their will be a great change on that day. The Mayans ran off something like 10 different calendars, this was the only lunar calendar. THEY WERE ALIENS!!!

My School is right near where the outbreaks in California are, They closed that school for the rest of the week. 4 confirmed cases at their school. My school is watching with a close eye "wash your hands frequently" and all of that stuff going on here.

There has been a confirmed death from swine flu in the USA, the first one outside of Mexico. To be honest though, common flu has killed many more and much more frequently. There is nothing to worry about, yet.

The media blows everything out of proportion. Flus and terrist attacks, they cover for days and weeks, yet a soldier dies in Iraq, and they get nothing. Its all for the ratings and veiwers. Also, don't those orginizations for vacines and such get alot of money donated?
